Feeling a big game for Knuble. He'll be faster than normal at Rexall.

Not shocking as Renney is big on using a trapping style of play. He did with the Rangers and I assume he is doing the same with the Oil altho I have yet to see them play this year.

Somehow they are not even scoring 2 goals a game on average and I have to think that is due to the passive system they are probably playing.

If thats the case, what are Chimera and MoJo going to look like on that ice? Red, white, and blue streaks across the TV screen?

Excited to see Hall finally and of course RNH, they've been quite impressive so far this season.

In my mind the main key is just forechechking extremely hard EDM has troubles moving the puck up to there forwards as it is. They also don't have Whitney right now. If Ward-Laich-Chimera and Alzner-Carlson are on there kid line we should be fine. That group can handle the Crosby and St Louis pretty solidly I don't see why they'd be a problem fpor them.

I'm going to be cautiously optimistic, I think everyone here is going a little overboard.

Khabi is playing out of his mind, RNH is the run away ROY, Hall and Eberle only get better every game they play.

If Whitney plays Caps win 3-2, if Whitney is out Caps win 4-1

Being an NHL draftnik enjoy when the caps are playing a team that are building through the draft and have some high picks.

Ovechkin, Backstrom, Knuble, Semin, Brouwer, Ward, Mojo, Green, Wideman, Laich, MP85, ALL HAVE HUGE GAMES WITH 400 GOALS EACH. AM I FORGETTING ANYONE? OH YEAH VOKOUN SCORES 1000 GOALS AND LETS -1000 GOALS IN.

really looking forward to RNH playing a legitimate contender from the east. i don't think he's getting the exposure in the US that he's deserved, he's certainly getting it in canada, but the rest of the hockey world needs to really experience and see for themselves what this kids all about. he's a truely special player.

that being said, good luck caps. as a die hard oilers fan, i've always had a bit of soft spot for the caps, fantastic team to watch and i hope for a crazy competive, exciting game with you guys.

Def anxious for this one. Caps gotta lose at some point and the layoff might be the reason for the first L. That said, going with my heart. 4-2 caps. OV gets 2+ pts.

I haven't seen official lines anywhere, but Beagle hasn't been practicing and I don't think they play King against a team as quick and skilled as Edmonton.

I think forward lines will probably be the same as the last few games, -Green and +Collins on D:

Ovi-Backstrom-Brouwer
Knuble-MJ90-Semin
Chimera-Laich-Ward
Hendricks-Halpern-Perreault

Carlson-Alzner
Wideman-Hamrlik
Collins-Schultz

Big fan of RNH's play so far. He seems like a third Sedin...just crazy hockey sense. Real interested to see how 27/74 and the third line do against that line and how heavily Boudreau chases the match-up.

a lot, i hope...cant allow schultz and a call-up to go against that line for too long imo.

I have to think Renney is going to line match away from that line.
