MSG Season Tickets & Relocation *PART 2*

continued....

Quote:
My rep says I can renew by the end of next week, but I bet I could probably even wait til June. Still on the fence here, but for you guys in sections that will be closed and got upgraded at the same price point, I found out how it's going to work.

Basically they're going to set a drop dead date in January, about 20 games in. To start the season, you will get sent tickets for only those 20 games. My seats were in 303 ($59 price category for 2012), and they're going to send me a stack of tickets for section 202 ($100 price category, but I'd be paying only $59).

But according to my rep, relocation will begin way before the season starts, and I won't be in 303 anymore. He says they will tell me a new location (provided I agree), and I will get a stack of tickets for the remaining games in that new section (300 level)

He also said I had the option to turn down the seats in 202 and still keep my season ticket account and only have to buy the tickets in the 300's for the final 20 games.

Speaking of the 200 sections for this season...I'm assuming they are temporary and will be gone after the renovations on the upper bowl start up next summer? Wonder where those people will relocated to. Or are the 200s going to be filled almost entirely with temporarily displaced end 300 subscribers. Anyone know?

Based on the seating chart, I think some lower bowl seats may be added to where the 200's currently are. If you look at the virtual seating chart, there are some sections where there are more 200's rows than others. I doubt that they leave the lower bowl with a different number of rows depending on the section.

Then the question is why aren't they adding them this summer?

428 still has obstructed view. I haven't kept up with the renovation thread, so I'm going to assume they're not renovating the 400s this summer?

Gordon, I will be honest here and say I wouldn't trust the Garden on this one. I can easily see them miscalculating and then you wind up losing out on tickets for a few games. Then, they won't give you a refund because they'll say you are getting $100+ seats for only $59 as it is and that should make up for it. Might want to clarify with them that if you miss out on any games, they will give you a cash refund.

I've been wondering this for a while now, after this renovation do you guys think the referees crease will be centered on the red line for once?

The refund was on my online statement this past week, but I'm still waiting for more to be refunded to me. First they credited me a little bit off my 2nd payment for next year, and then there was a little more credited back stated just as a credit not off the second payment, and I am still waiting to get more back, so stupid.

Mine hit my checking account yesterday. Took cash from ATM in morning. Balance was over $600 higher than expected. Play-offs, and a Paypal hit (thought paypal hit already hit). Was nice surprise.

Did you get 2 games and the 10% rebate on your account?

Yes, you will almost certainly be able to up your subscription to a pair. You may have to move around a bit, but it shouldn't be a problem.

My relocation appointment is on Monday the 20th at 10AM

I'm not looking to move really... just want to see if I can side to the end of the row. Right now they have me in the middle.

If they would let you downgrade I'd consider that, but they wont let that happen... oh well...

I've had my tickets since 1998....

It was at 4 last season, but that always changes based on demand.

I'm in section 112, row 6 (which is the first row of that section). We are mid row now and we will be looking to just slide to the end of our row...

Given my choice I'd downgrade to something higher up and center ice... but we figured we'd give it one season down low and near the glass.

If I could have had my pick I would have gone for the last rows of the old 200's right at center ice. I think they are $115 a seat... not too much higher than my last years seats. Where they have us now in SEC112 the ticket prices is $150 per game... a HUGE increase from $95 last year. OUCH
