Turris and Whitney to Buffalo

What would it take to get these two guys to the Sabres. I'd offer Ennis, but what else if anything, is needed to make this a fair deal (no Enroth, Regier won't do it).

I think Buffalo would be much happier with Ennis!

Whitney isn't going to be moved while the Yotes are still in the playoff hunt.

The only thing the sabres would really even consider offering is hecht and a pick but with boyes on a hot streak right now the sabres don't really need whitney and the sabres would probably rather spend their tradable assets on getting a consistent two way center like Weiss from florida then blowing it all on a kid who has yet to prove himself after after two years of 60+ games in the nhl.

You'd be better off keeping Ennis.

What about Boyes and Ennis for Whitney, Turris, and a Draft Pick:

Vanek-Adam-Pominville
Whitney-Roy-Stafford
Leino-Turris-McCormick
Gerbe-Gaustad-Kaleta

Solid forward core IMO. I bet im forgetting somebody though I always do ..

Or someone who's not pulling a Donald Audette and Michael Peca. No thanks, I don't want Turris on the Sabres, not even as a waiver claim.

I'm not interested in trading Ennis for either or both Turris and Whitney. Both are players that could help us, but I still think Ennis is going to be an amazing player once he hits his prime.

Whitney won't be moved until the deadline, if he's even moved at all; he's just too important to the Coyotes. If they hope to make the playoffs, they won't trade him. In addition, his NMC gives him full control of where he goes if he goes anywhere at all and we'd have a hell of a time getting him to waive to come here, as rumors suggest he isn't all that fond of Buffalo.

Not that I support trading Ennis, because I don't, but I will say that I don't understand the faith that some people have in Ennis turning into Danny. He has continually looked more and more like Max to me.

I thought Ennis was untouchable?

I used to be in that faction, but now I'm leaning more and more towards your position. He has the ability to be a Danny-type player IMO, but he chooses to do the "dipsy doodle" BS that Max did, what Lindy likes to call "East-West play" instead of a solid "North-South" game where the net is constantly being attacked.

But I feel his street value (value other teams see in him) is much higher than his real value (value as an actual asset on the roster).

That being said, I feel that if anyone on this team is dealt, he's right up there, at or near the top of players that should be dealt.

And if he is dealt, why not for a guy who could become a bonafide top line center. Yes, Turris has been slow and stagnant in his development, but so have other players taken that high, Bobby Ryan (22yrs old), being a prime example.

I say if a deal that garners them a prospect, and a veteran of this skill is out there, do it. Because his value likely won't be this high for too much longer, especially while still on his ELC.

I don't really understand the logic of people who would trade Ennis for Turris.

Centermen aren't so valuable that you should trade a guy coming off a top-5 finish in Calder voting for a draft bust who wants a 4 million dollar contract.

I don't get it, man.
