LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have signed forwards Robert Czarnik and Andy Andreoff to three-year entry level contracts, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Great news. Both were mighty impressive in camp this year, especially Andreoff. I think AA deserved to go to Manch though...

Looks like there was no room for Andreoff, and it could help that he's going to have more of a leadership role in Oshawa as opposed to getting few minutes in the AHL. A kid at his age has to play. I'm sure by the time Oshawa's season is done, Andreoff will be back up playing for Manchester.

I mean, if Manch has room for Cam Paddock and Stefan Legein, I imagine they have room for AA too...

Manchester's depth chart that made it difficult for Andreoff to crack.

King-Azevedo-Kozun
Cliche-Loktionov-Nolan
Kaunisto-Paddock-Meckler
Clune-Vey-Johnson

Campbell-Hickey
Mullen-Voynov
Deslauriers-Kolomatis

Jones-Zatkoff

Scratches: Czarnik (C/W), Hill (D), Legein (RW), Mignardi (RW), Muzzin (D)

The Monarchs will likely be assigning some players to Ontario (ECHL), just as they did with J.F. Berube and J.D. Watt. I'd expect Hill to be returned to Ontario as well as Mignardi.

AA will be an impact player with the Kings sooner rather than later. He still has one set back in his game but has improved since last season by all accounts and once he gets everything nailed down he will be a gamer.

Solid. Especially Andreoff, I have really high opinions of him going forward. I expect him to be in our bottom 6 in a few years.

AA should go to the Reign before the CHL.

Why does AA go back to the OHL as a 20 year old? That's kinda strange.

I doubt the Kings care if either of those amount to anything. They want to see AA develop, so giving him big minutes in the O is better than 3rd or 4th line in the AHL. Not to mention he's clearly got issues to work on, as impressive as he was in camp.

Maybe we can get a sneak peak at who the Kings are drafting next year. Any good prospects with the same first and last initial? lol.

if Mignardi or Czarnik ever gets to play a series of games with Manchester. where do you think they'll slot them respectively. i'm guessing both on RW

Fourth line roles for both, although I could see Czarnik moving up the lineup if there is an injury. He could center the 3rd line and has a bit of talent to produce. It seems that the Monarchs would rather have a physical fourth line as well with two of Clune, Legein or Johnson filling the wings and Vey at C.

I would rather Zignardi and Czarnick play everyday in Ontario.

My personal assessment of Czarnik was Simmonds lite, am I way off? He doesn't seem to get a lot of respect.

What is the one set back? I really respect your opinion and would like to hear it.

Simmonds is a heart and soul kind of guy, Robbie, not so much.

I don't think Czarnik is really a serious NHL prospect anymore. He will probably have a similar career to his current teammate Dave Meckler. A solid AHL guy.

If there is anyone in the pipeline to draw comparisons to Simmonds, it's Andreoff.

Simmonds with more grit and less O upside but in the scope. That's what I see.

After watching AA play I think that his one set back is learning self control and or timing. He is a very enthusiastic/emotional player which are two excellent attributes and very much needed for a guy who plays bottom 6 roles. If you watch AA play you can see his frustration get the better of him from time to time and that tends to put him out of position.

So to me it is an issue of learning when it is best to play such a passionate style of game so that his timing/positioning isn't effected. If you run around trying to cream everyone on the ice every shift your gonna leave at least one person wide open.

That is what I am seeing in his game but I did get a chance to talk to MMorr and he agreed that the only thing holding AA back is timing and experience.

AA is allot like Kitsyn in that respect to me. Both really solid young players who need pro time before they become very good solid impact players at their respective positions. I see AA as a lock and Max as a potential star caliber player at best and a very good one at worst.
