players are just reaching the 9 game mark give it a couple days and more should be sent back to juniors or overseas.

only these players have been announced or seem to be staying the whole season

Nugent Hopkins
Landeskog
Larsson
Couturier
Bulmer
Horak
Gudbranson

Strome and probably some others could still be sent down but the guys i listed above are most likely staying if they arent already guaranteed to.

Devante Smith-Pelly has had the flu and has missed the last couple of games, so he's still on the clock. I wouldn't be surprised if he got sent back.

Played close to 19 minutes tonight. Looked good tonight. He'll be a good player for a long time

Strome was sent back to juniors ages ago, didn't play a game.

Where is Zibanejad playing? Is he back in Sweden or in the AHL?

Djurgardens in Sweden, not sure on the rules with 18 year old international players and the AHL.

He would have been eligible for the AHL I believe, having been drafted out of Europe last season.

Hasnīt the Swedish federation negotiated that the Swedish youngsters that donīt make the NHL have to be sent back to the SEL instead of going to the AHL as a part of the NHL-Sweden transfer agreement though?

There's ppl that take either side, I'm still not sure who's right. Either way the sens never mentioned the possibility of him going to the ahl.

I actually think bigger ice is a benefit in this case, what he did only at times in the NHL was handle the puck and make plays...big ice will facilitate confidence in that area.

Mika had a valid SEL contract with an out clause that he could play in NHL only or he would have to be returned back to his SEL team if he didn't stick with the Sens.

Cowen can't go to the junior level so he'd burn a year off their ELCs anyway. Rundblad played out his contract in Sweden, so he'd have to go to the AHL and still a burn a year off his ELC too. It's better for Ottawa to keep them at the NHL level and work on their development there. They're both fantastic, glad to see them performing well (even as a Leafs fan).

Zibanjed, Scheifele and Saad each played games and were sent down (Z going to Sweden instead of the CHL, being an international player) while DSP could be on the clock along with Bulmer.

Couturier, Landeskog and Larsson are the only 2011 draftees that will stick with their NHL clubs so far. Gudbranson and Niederreiter are the other rookies from the 2010 draft that will likely stick. RNH has to stay, IMO, his chemistry with Eberle and Hall is amazing.

Strome and Murphy both got sent back without playing a game. I expect all the others to make it, possibly with the exception of Horak - simply not heard much about him.

I think he's still got some improving to do in coordination as he gets older but doubt he reaches the levels in puck skill and poise that pronger has. Defensively they are kinda similar, it looks really annoying for opposing players to try to deal with cowens end of the ice. He's moving quickly and his stick is everywhere. One thing that is promising is his decision making is sound. He's been really disruptive on the pk.

Aside from getting caught flat footed by duchene earlier, this guys been very good.

Sens fans have been overly encouraged by the play of the young d lately. Dr7 hasn't needed pp time to prove he's gonna be a player. He's got what it takes to be a true two way force, he came to the NHL with an underrated physical game...in a couple years he could be like a smaller edler in that regard.

The 10 game threshold is meaningless for Bulmer:

Remember though, prior to the season, the Wild's position was it could care less about this threshold. With so many youngsters starting contracts in the next few years, it actually would benefit the Wild to burn the first year this year. You don't want all these contracts expiring at the same time, or that could become very problematic. The threshold GM Chuck Fletcher will always be concentrating on is the Game 40 threshold. If he is on the roster for 40 Wild games, his seven-year free-agent clock begins.
Tomorrow will be his 10th game, and he's in the lineup the team has been posting online.
