The East is so wide open, but I'm just not sure I see the Ice Dogs advancing to the OHL finals. I don't think they have the offensive depth. O Sullivan is going to have a hard time doing it all himself in the playoffs when teams really, really give him a hard time. And I don't think the supporting cast of Hecimovic, Bass, Zanoski and crew is enough to overcome it. I like Peterborough or Barrie coming out of the East.

You mean to the finals, or all the way as in winning to OHL championship?

The former I can see, but no way they'll beat London (or even Owen Sound) in the final. They just don't have the depth and talent.

A question regarding the OHL and the Memorial Cup.

Since London is the host city I know they're guaranteed a spot. How is the other OHL rep determined if London wins the OHL Championship, as expected ???

Is it automatically whoever they beat in the finals ???

or could the OHL decide that say if London beats Owen Sound in a 7 game Western Conference Final .. and then sweeps Peterborough in the OHL Finals, that Owen Sound was better in the regular season and gave London a better series that they should be the 2nd OHL rep.

The team from the eastern conference will be the OHL representative in that situation.

I think Missy will get a big boost from Carcillo, hopefully he has smartened up (3rd time is a charm) and I can see them going the distance, Like someone already mentioned, London is in no matter what, so I think Missy has the best chance to make it.

I agree, Missy probably is the team to beat, they played real well in the second half of the year. If Ouzas plays well, they have the firepower (best forward and best defensemen in the East IMO) and are solid defensively as well. They are well coached with Greg Gilbert but the East is so wide open I can see anyone 1-6 taking it.

Belleville is my team, but since I live in T.O I cheer for the majors when they aren't facing the bulls. So me and a couple of buddies are going on a road trip deep into enemy territory this friday in Mississauga.

Get ready for the upset.
