Good on him! Hopefully that helps cement him into the lineup for a while.

@internetdotcom,
Just to describe the play a little more...
Near the end of the 2nd, Sens were on the PP and Konopka did a great job to beat the defender to get the puck from the corner and he got the puck to DR7 back on the point. Konopka got in front of the net and provided a great screen in front of Ward as DR7 let the wrister go. I believe it went off of Pitkanen who was also in front of the net. The goal was all Konopka pretty much, great hustle.
Regardless though, I cannot be any happier that DR7 got his 1st goal! Hopefully it gives his confidence a boost after sitting for a while

If this is what we can expect from him, can you imagine what a PP point of DR7 and EK will be like a few years from now.

He's very fast.
His stick must have some sort of thing where the puck automatically bounces off of it.

I'm not sure how well this will work to be honest. They both shoot right which really cuts down on their options. The PK'ers can always cheat towards the defenceman on his off-wing because he's the only threat for a one-timer.
I swear, Ottawa has got to be the only team in the league with the problem of too many right shots on the PP.

Don't think it has anything to do with anything. They could be making fun of how no one pronounces his name correctly.
Can't wait til this guy gets it all right, his ability to make people miss is something else sometimes.

His fakeouts really remind me of football running actually. A slight twitch of the shoulder or headfake and he has the players all turned around. Awesome.
