He looks OK for Ovechkin. I'm still not seeing quality shots from beyond the circles.

This is a surprisingly hard hitting game.

Halpern to the box... bad night for the bottom-six types.

That's going to be a tough deficit to overcome now. Nuts. 3-1

Granted, that's an obvious trip. But if there was ever a time to call a dive along with it...

Although there is no way to confirm, anyone want to guess how many F bombs BB's drops in the lockerroom? I call 28.

A deserving score...too sloppy all around. This isn't a team you can just hang on against.

Both teams are due this sort of end result.

I didn't realize how much I missed Mike Green until this game. They're just destroying us on the forecheck. Time for a speech Bruce.

Look at the bright side, every loss moves us closer to firing BB and getting a real coach...

Brutal in all aspects there. Take a page from Boston and pop 'em in the mouth a time or two and they'll squirm a little.

There are certain constants about every Biudreau coached Caps team. Difficuly against pressing defenses, difficulty getting the puck out of the defensive zone against good forecheckers, difficulty with trapping defenses. I am seeing the same chinks. Young defensemen, mature defensemen, white collar players, blue collar players, this trade, that trade, this free agent pick up, that free agent pick up. Just saying.

Its game like this that make me think Matt Bradley was spot on. Semin looks like he could care less about playing this game. Schultz and Collins combo look sloppy. And for the love of god...why is Knuble playing LW??? Semin was a natural LW, he should play on that side. Knuble can never handle the puck on his off wing.

When you use guys like Semin and Ovi as Snipers you play them on the LW. When you use them as danglers you play them on the right (keeps stick towards the boards and away from the denfender). I think BB likes Semin working his way back towards the middle off the right boards with that curl and drag that he's fond of.

Here's the ideal result of playing a natural LW on the RW.
