So the Jackets have been sitting waiting for the Hawks while the Blackhawks are coming back to play the back end of a back to back. I figure the Jackets need to win this.

How many times have we heard about other teams laying in wait in Columbus and a loss being explained/justified this way?

Jackets 4
Blackhawks 0

Hawks too tired to play

Just checked the standings. Boston is at the bottom of the East, and the two worst in the West are Columbus and Vancouver. Jeez what happened to those two teams?

Does anyone else think that they should give York atleast one game just to see how he handles the NHL?

LaCosta looked pretty in his limited NHL time

I'm sure we'd all like to see someone other than Mason between the pipes, but York's entire professional resume is four games with Springfield, last season. We're 1-8-1, is now the time to test out a completely inexperience goalie? It would be a great story if he succeeded, sort of like Mase in his rookie year, only even more unlikely! Personally, I'd prefer that he only hit the ice in case of injury, but I do think they're going to give him a start, this weekend. I'm not looking forward to that with any confidence, at all.

I was going to suggest that to pregame for the drinking game there should be a set of "pregame show drinking rules" but I guess this pretty much covers that:

[Take a swig of your drink each and everytime each one of these events happen.]

8. Ray Crawford makes you feel awkward.

Blackhawks played last night, didn't skate this morning, Jackets had an optional skate and a few showed up. Hawks will come out flying and the Jackets will treat this like an optional skate. Hawks 5 Jackets 1. Oh, and by the way, the scapegoat in the loses, Atkinson, has scored again for Springfield and they lead St. Johns 2-0 end of First. Last night he scored the tieing goal in the overtime win over Hershey

Wish I could be participating in the drinking game as I have a bottle of Jim Beam's Devils Cut that I'm looking forward to...but I've got the Oregon District Halloween to attend. Any Daytonians out there attending?

Another FSOhio feed on NHLCI. Only one feed available tonight so it could have been the Hawks' feed, too. Not in HD though.

The sign of character is what you do when no one else is looking. The Jackets usually stink up the joint when no one is watching. Buckeyes are playing Wisconsin right now. Chicago 8 CBJ 1.

So much is made of the fact teams start their No. 2 goalies against us.

What about the disrespect we give right back when we don't start Mason for their offense?

Another intriguing move by Arniel. Start the kid against a divisional opponent on the road when we need a win. Good luck, we need you.

Skating hard, not hitting hard.
Not liking where this is likely headed.

So far the Prospal is the best addition this offseason.
