Posted in the trades forum asking for Ennis and Sekera from Buffalo.

I think both would be ideal players on the team. I'd be more than willing to trade Dubinsky and others for them. Ennis is just really skilled and would look great with Richards and Gaborik. Sekera helps out defensively and we get another PMD.

The offense sucks right now and we're going to trade 2 guys who had 54 and 44 points respectively last season? And replace them with Hagelin and MZA? I love Suter, but a big NO to this trade.

Yeah well, so tell me how it makes things any worse??? Also, just a matter of time before our defense starts falling apart...Girardi is already looking gassed, Eminger's a -7..As pointed out elsewhere, Dubinsky just makes the most sense when it comes to making a trade for help on the blueline. No way we miss Anisimov AT ALL, don't think it would take long to forget Dubinsky either, trade him now while the return value's decent. But hey, just my opinion, you know what they say about those..

WW for Penner

Looks like Eklund is at it again--Ranger's and Oiler's talking again today about Penner.

Big Left winger but an air head.

How about our own air head,

WW

For

Penner

Maybe some other parts here and there.

Why don't we just also throw in Christensen and a 5th round pick.

Enough with these. Nobody wants these dead weights.

Isn't Penner on LA?

Edit - I guess the site was lagging. Others have answered this already.

Dust for WW is a no-brainer as far as I'm concerned. Dust would fit in better on the LW of either of our two top lines than WW ever will.

Your right he is a King--Eklund is a fool has the Ranger's talking to both the Oiler's and Kings.

Anyway I would still do

WW For Penner.I don't think L.A would but you never know maybe L.A thinks they can turn WW around.

lol, what a misquote.
TWO SEPARATE rumors.

1) Rangers talking to Edm.

2) unrelated, Penner to (somewhere in) the EAST

no clue what Edm is looking for at this time... I'll go lurk on the Oilers forum for a bit...

edit: it appears they could use big solid d-men (so like Girardi, Sauer, McD) and big wingers (Dubinsky) anyone care to make ludicrous proposals?

Can't be defense because the Oilers are happy with what they have.

This really should be a sticky. otherwise it's going to get lost in the sauce, people will continue to make proposals outside of this thread and the whole thing will have been for naught.

I cant imagine anyone endorsing Penner has seen him play recently. Slow, unmotivated and carries a high price tag. Ill take Wolski over him easily.

Don't see Bruins remotely receptive to the OP.

Bold: Not at any price, but big time yes, we should REASONABLY overpay to get him.
(No Kreider. Nothing too crazy. Maybe

Girardi + Stepan + Sauer + St. Croix + 2nd
for
Yandle + upgradeable 2nd and/or X ? ...)

Girardi, Stepan AND Sauer for Yandle? Are you kidding me? I'm glad you aren't GM. You'd gut the team and leave us with nothing.

Shane Doan

To me Shane Doan is exactly what would make this team a cup contender this year. He would fit perfectly on the line with Richards and Gabby and he is great on the PP. Not to mention Rangers fans would love him.

With the Phoenix Rangers connection, I think it's possible. I don't think Phoenix is going to be able to contend in their division this season. Which means they could be sellers this upcoming deadline.

To be honest, I don't see Phoenix trading their captian, unless we overpayed greatly. But who knows, Sather has pulled off some stunning trades over his career.

What do you think it would take to get him? Only a 4.5 mil cap hit.
I think somewhere along the lines of MZA, a 1st and 2nd rounder could do it.

He would fit perfectly with this team. Discuss.

Really? Please explain how a 35 year old rental is worth more than a 1st and 2nd round pick + MZA. The 1st and 2nd round pick is enough and I wouldn't even want to do it because this year's draft is going to be so strong. Please explain it.

No way I would even give up a 1st for him. 2nd + mid-level prospect is the highest I'd go, and I don't think Phoenix would do that.
