it is just very sad they have no one on D that can even remotely lock down the #6 spot. there really isnt anything at all to get excited about on the back end. nothing at all.

We have two defensive prospects in the AHL. Gustaffson and Laurdisen.
And two in juniors. Blidstrand and Sullentrop. Yeesh.

Call me crazy but it looks like Gus is here to stay to become our #6 with Lilja filling in. Gus has played almost 17 minutes a night when he is out there. He hasnt played spectacular, but hasnt played poorly either.

I agree. I think he's just getting his feet wet. Sometimes he goes unnoticed which in his case is a good thing. Maybe later in the season he becomes a key power play guy, who knows.

imo the reason he is getting the 17 minutes is they want to see what he has to offer. Which is what they should do.They know what they have in lilja, so see if the kid can contribute. the bottom line is we are talking about #6 dman. there are going to be good and bad games.I def think they make a move at the deadline for a #6 dman too replace whoever has the #6 spot at that time. I dont see him replacing lilja to be honest. whether that is the right move, i dont know. I do know that him and carle are a brutal pairing. two weak ass guys who get abused down low.
to a previous post. bourdon is horrible. he is abrely an capable ahl dman right now.

Agreed. He is clearly so much more capable than Lilja. I don't see how Lavy could ignore this when Pronger comes back.
