Erixon I think has adapted very well. He makes the occasional rookie mistake, but for the most part, he's steady, and shows promising flashes in the offensive zone. He's been better than any of Eminger, Bell, and Woytika; why send him down?

EDIT: WTF. Erixon to the Whale?
Maybe Staal is better...better be.
After tonight, Marc Staal told Sather "I dont give a **** about my head, I'm playing next game. I can't watch this anymore."
Dont compare us to Boston. Record aside, the way we win/lose is different than the way they win/lose.
The point is that even the Stanley Cup champions are having a **** start. Montreal isn't as bad as they've looked. I know it terrifies everyone that so far we've looked like this years Devils, but I don't see it happening.
Still, we need to pull out of this slump, and fast.
So the answer is to farm out Newbury and Erixon? While Christensen, Eminger and Anisomov are still around? Amazing. Glad we had 20 players on the club that are better than Avery.
Yeh Anisimov is junk, I made that huge thread last year and everyone told me I was a fool... He is too slow and fragile to play in this league.
And yet here he is... in this league... with 75 points and an even rating in 175 games. Fragile? Imbecilic. He has not missed a regular season game yet.
You can make an argument that he isn't, nor might not be a top 6 forward. But he is a very good and well respected 3rd line center on many of the teams in the league. He was 5th on the team in scoring last year and I expect he'll be somewhere around that by the time this season is done.

Folks, the discussion on Anisimov should end here. This man speaks the truth.
Anisimov will finish the season with 40 something points. Cally and Dubi may break 50 or hit 50 clean. Gabby has looked fantastic, BR has looked fine and tonight looked elite, and our D with Staal is very good. MDZ, unless you're an idiot, has been a very pleasant surprise so far this year. Stepan and Boyle need to up their game. You want to know what I think? I think we're missing Vinny Prospal, who came back and was a consistent producer. Right now, I want to see Richie consistently bring it with Dubi and Cally, while maybe Gabby can try and get Stepan or Anisimov started. I'm going to say it again- LW is a huge hole on this team. W2 has been a huge disappointment, and if we had somebody with offensive skill who could bring it every night our top 6 would look much better.
