I agree, the fans tried to make it entertaining but the game itself was just terrible. Couldn't even score once...

Still no signs of Alfie on the practice ice. Things are looking bleak. Greening seems to be feeling the effects of an injury as well. Sens will need to make a move soon to keep this team NHL level.

Mendes just wrote that Alfie WAS on the ice for 30 minutes this morning and that MacLean says he is progressing nicely(albeit with no timeline for his return). Remind me not too read Garrioch's BS anymore.

Yahoo said he skated for 30 min today, in there fantasy..

"Alfredsson (concussion) skated on Monday morning, his first time on skates since suffering a concussion in an October 29th game against the Rangers reports Sportsnet's Ian Mendes.

Recommendation: He skated for approximately 30 minutes and could take a baseline test as early as Tuesday. It's a very good sign that Alfredsson's back on skates, but he's likely at least a week or more from returning to game action.
(Rotowire.com)"

Not sure how true this is tho?

The moral of this story: Bruce Garrioch is a sensationalist, garbage-spewing idiot.

I'm not holding my breath on him coming back anytime soon. I'm guessing after the All-Star break

I think alfie comes back sooner than the allstar break. But just because he's Alfie. He always comes back far sooner than ppl expect.

I'd say early Dec. He comes back.

In an interview this evening, MacLean said Alfie was out skating on his own before practice today. No timetable for his return, but could to see him on skates.

He was obviously not even around before practice which is why he didn't see him out there before the team came out. That's just pure incompetence.

He 100% comes back before the all star break. Considering the break is in feb.

I'm obviously not from Ottawa but I've been wondering who's the worst? Garrioch or Brennan? I don't even understand why they got the jobs they have

Maybe the "talk about me in good or bad, but talk about me" is really a big thing, because I have rarely seen somebody talk of them in good... lol

I've met Garrioch a few times & he isn't that bad of a guy, he is opininated like most of us though & he will at times take an unpopular side of an arguement. There are some players he likes & some he doesn't like like Kovalev & Bonk, he really didn't like either. Keep in mind that both are much older than most on this board as well & probably have old school mentalities when it comes to what they think players should be like. I look at their articles as entertaining & occassionally informative but they rarely piss me off. If you read numerous different opinions about the team IMO it gives you a much better idea of what the team is like.

They work for the Ottawa Sun: think of "Le Journal de Montreal".
Both are very likely good people, but... well... everyone knows Quebecor stuff is absolute drivel!
