Just one of those games. The Av's are going to burn all their luck in the first half of the season.

behind the Blues game, these past 2 games have been the kings best this season, yet they have 1 point, ugh

Only thing I learned from this road trip, is that Kings need less shots on goal

Less shots= Higher chance of winning.

Kings really did not deserve to lose that one. On a back to back against a rested team who got a lucky goal and a lot of calls in their favor. Kings still made it close. **** the Avs.

I dunno, I wouldn't count this was one of their best games, their timing seemed off, they were tired,

They clearly outplayed the Avalanche, but that is like saying the Saints clearly outplayed the Colts, doesn't really mean much.

They need more shots ON goal and less shots sailing wide.

I really liked the Avs game. Their speed is hard to deal with if you can't stop them right away with the forecheck. Can't fault Quick for the goals directly but he did look very human tonight. Kings just looked a little passive on the forecheck compared to last night. I think travel was an issue. The Avs trap well so we couldn't get the puck up ice quickly or carry it the way we usually do, but I didn't think the effort was there on the dump ins. Lots of guys not finishing checks while the Avs were consistently punishing the Kings along the boards in all three zones.

Dewey seems to have regressed again. He was in Norris candidate form to start the year. It's disappointing. Was particularly concerned with the way he tried to tie the game by himself instead of getting it up ice quickly.

Yuck. Sucks to lose a game like that with such a long break until Thursday.
We had a lot of shots, but we really didn't have many good scoring opportunities at all.

I also was excited to see Doughty have that explosiveness back to start the season, it seems the injury set him back. Hopefully it's just rust but he had another rough game tonight.

I disagree. I thought both teams played even, the shot total looks very deceiving. It was a great defensive game by both teams.

If you don't score as many goals as your opponent, you DESERVE to lose

Yea, sure.... What to state the obvious and miss the point. Don't be so pedantic.

Described as a "middle body" injury, sustained in Dallas possibly. This is the second game out.

Lucky bounce for the Avs but let's not sell them short. They played a good defensive game and blocked a fair amount of shots.

I think the Kings played okay. Hopefully the next few days off will give them time to regroup.

Not really. How I saw it was, Richards was definitely pushed, but he kept going into Varlamov. Though it worked out good because Richards made a save for us on that play.

That's crazy. I watched yesterdays game and didn't even notice. It makes sense that the lines were so jumbled last night.
