A game like this is why I don't think this is a bad team, just a team finding its legs. They did a much better job cycling the puck, players were in position better, and getting it to the front for chances. Just looked like a more cohesive team that worked all game long for their chances, got "Secondary" scoring when Gaborik was held off the board, etc.
Though I have to say, teh Sharks gave the Rangers some space along the boards which helped. Rangers have struggled a bit when teams really pressure the puck hard. But, they also were winning more board battles and better positioned, so I think that also helped a lot.
Gotta keep playing like that, PP has been surprisingly effective lately

Thornton used to be better for sure IMO, they're pretty close at this point though.

Thorton has a Hart. Joe hasn't choked since the Anaheim series.
great comeback though - Thornton is a much different player than he was in Boston.

A Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Winner can't hold Joe's sorry little jock? Interesting...

For a player who has won nothing, he has a big mouth. Joe should focus on actually getting out of the Western conference. He has the bes team ever around him this year, and no excuses.

LOL, Thornton has a Hart. Big whoop, Richards has a STANLEY CUP and a Conn Smythe. Please, leave.

Conn Smythe + Stanley Cup >>>> Hart
every day of the week and twice on sundays

Richards has a Conn Smythe and a Cup...I'd take either one over the Hart every time.

A regular season award is some how higher in value than a Cup and Conn Smythe in his opinion. Shows his hockey knowledge. Keep it coming.

Great effort by the Rangers tonight. Sharks showed up for maybe 15 minutes - not nearly enough to hang with a very determined Rangers team.
As a Sharks' fan, I have to say that Thornton's comments were stupid, inaccurate, and unworthy of a captain.

I wonder if Callahan saying "so ****ing soft" at the final buzzer had anything to do with it. Not sure what he was talking about but noticed it.

He got somewhat slewfooted at the buzzer and then the guy pushed down on his head.

Just like Maloney said on the post game show, "Thornton has a long flight back to California to think about how soft the Rangers are."

I can't believe McLellan made Thornton captain. An atrocious leader who takes potshots at other teams after a loss instead of giving them credit. He should really receive a lot of flack for what he said.
Joe Thorton is a bad leader because he fails to show up and lacks intensity. I have never heard him call out another team before this.

Then ran to hide behind his goalie. This after the Sharks started diving all over the place trying to draw penalties. Soft? Joe is soft in he head.

Jagr should have Thornton's Hart, anyway.

Thornton shouldn't have even wont the Hart that year. Jagr was the MVP that season but stats prevailed as opposed to actual play.
