Ha ha Luuuuu ruins his shutout.

I'm curious what kind of flames team shows up next game.
I'm expecting they will be resigned to failure.

I was really worried that he jinxed us tonight by even mentioning ducksauce and shutouts.

Edit: Which he kind of did... Two posts, Giordano's shooting Lou's stick out of his hand.

Stupid question: Are Sutter and Vigneault both subject to fines for the last minute fight or has that rule been repealed?

I really didn't like Jackman going after the Canuck player last minute. He basically jumped him, gave him no opportunity to decide whether or not he actually wanted to fight. Kudos to Weise for holding his own. Gooning it up in the last minute of a blowout doesn't show heart or grit, it's just stupid.

Agreed 100%. I was telling Gelinas that the fight was 59 minutes and 11.6 seconds too late. If that fight was meant to mean anything for the team to be a spark, it should had been after the Canucks got the jump on us 2-0, instead of a useless pounding in the final minute of the game.

Very disappointing result, thought we could at least give them a shake.

Haven't read the match report yet, but seem as though we were totally outplayed.

Did we improve in the second period, or did Vancouver just not take their chances?

seriously I left and they score, cannot believe it. I might never go to another game this year.

There is not one positive thing to say about that game. Biggest problem is the lack of passion and grit, we really need some bigger bodies on this team. If Jackman's gonna fight it should have been right after the Higgens goal in the first, not gooning it up right at the end

This is the worst game I've seen in a very long time. Grow a ****ing spine and have some pride in your own building.

It's days like these where I really consider just wanting everyone gone outside of Gio, Glenny, and Iginla (if he even wants to stay).

If the Flames cannot get pumped for a game against VAN in their own building then WTF!? It was like they didn't even mind getting blown out.

why are you giving Glencross a hall pass? The guy has been invisible since his first few games.

The bigger issue this game was that the Flames simply did not show up. This was all effort.

I'm sorry but now that its a day after the game, reading this is actually kinda funny.

What isn't funny is the lack of effort the Flames played with last night. Normally that is not a characteristic of a veteran team. But that is just how this team is.

Honestly, the fact that they score after Gnome left, really cheered me up in a way. I needed the laugh.

The effort as a team was just terrible. I do think Horak still played really well, considering the team he had to play with last night. He is a huge bright spot, looking to the near future.

That to me was the most disappointing part of last night, more so than even the loss itself. I know the Canucks are a better team than the Flames, and they're the odds on favorites everytime we face them because they're one of the elite teams in the league, and the Flames are not. I get that. But to let them come into your building and let them run the show like that, and show absolutely no push back, was just pathetic. No urgency, no compete level whatsoever last night.

Can we just please get some crazy shakeup trade that will at least make this season somewhat interesting for us Flames fans. At this point I could care less who it is, would love to see Iggy play his entire career as a Flame but at this point I want something mildly exiting to happen with this team. Same crap year after year lately. They will probably pick it up at some point in the season and give some hope only to lose out in the end... same crap... season after season...

I really hope they don't if their still at the bottom of the conference come the end of November. Feaster will decide to push for playoffs when he should just be trading away our UFA's at deadline. He gave them a chance last year after they picked it up they don't deserve a 2nd chance or 3rd for that matter.

The way I look at it, if we can't compete with teams like Canucks, Red Wings, Sabres who we play this week, it's time for a wholesale change. Not really sure why everyone is screaming for change, but the management doesn't see it our way. I guess they like a lackluster effort everynight.
