It's Vegas. There's a line on everything. That's probably why the NHL is so leery about placing a team there.

He can be a useful piece.. Doesn't really have a defined role on this team. He's played on every line but it seems we just have a logjam of the same type of players.. The kid does possess a very nice shot. Certainly expect him to get claimed...

Beleskey should get claimed by someone. Young kid with potential to be a 20 goal power forward. If MacLean gets claimed, Beleskey definetly should

Not that much, in my opinion. He hasn't looked good with the Ducks in a long time. There were all kinds of openings on the roster this season, and he wasn't able to beat out anyone, and did not look good in the process.

Not going to lie, I was hoping we'd be able to get a 3rd/4th rounder out of him from some team or use him as a mid-level prospect in a trade, but seeing Murray not finding any taker there isn't coming as a huge shock, either.

I would not be shocked to see him succeed elsewhere eventually, though. Definitely expect him to get picked up by some team.

What happened with Beleskey?

His play fall off? Coaching? Attitude?

I remember last season he was actually pretty decent in his little stint he had after the mid way point of the season.

I think it would be an option the Habs could possibly "look at", not a guarentee or anything but maybe a replacement for Darche next season as he is a RFA with another year on his contract.

I think the Habs will be going to the upcoming offseason looking for lots of size and grit come next offseason. Right now though I would look at the option of bringing him in for some extra offence and send Engqvist back down.

He's coming back from surgery and his play has been really really tentative this year. He used to be a great option with Getzlaf and Perry but even that hasn't worked so far this season.

He had a decent run a while back and hasn't been worth squat since... He doesn't deserve to be on the ducks roster but I wouldn't be surprised to see him claimed somewhere and do... Okay I guess? He doesn't do anything well And it seems like he knows it showing he's been trying to play as physical as possible and fight as much as possible.

Anaheim still have a full roster after placing him on waivers? Is this leading to something else, trade or call-up?

I think Montreal should grab him, big kid with lots of potential. Could send down Darche and put him on the 3rd/4th line.

I only count 12 healthy forwards on the current roster. They'll probably call up Sexton or something.

Had a shoulder injury and wasn't 100% for training camp/pre-season/start of the season.

I think missing that (and obviously being limited in off-season training) hurt him a bit.

Works hard but needs to get his game back to leap-frog the other bottom-six type players on the roster.

another once promising prospect under Carlyle that regressed after his rookie season.

Carlyle is great at developing the stars...but absolutely sucks at developing quality depth players

in juniors, he looked like he was going to be an NHLer, and he certainly looked like he could end up as a pretty good one for stretches of last year, I know at one point he had a run of about 8 points over 10 games.

combined with his age and contract, this seems like one of the times it should be a slam dunk that someone will pick him up.

Should be picked up, young guy who can fill most roles and can bang the body. In the right system he can put up points

What's your source? But I hope so, always liked Beleskey.

watch a team like islanders leafs or even habs pick him up. id love if he Rangers claimed him and put Erik Christensen on waivers but the chance of that happening is the day the Rangers get 1st overall in the draft while making the playoffs that same year.

Why do they keep calling up Sexton or Maroon or whoever especially when they need scoring. Just call up your best AHL prospect already (Palmieri).

Not surprising to see Beleskey waived. He's a guy that has played just about everywhere throughout the lineup but never really found a spot to fit in well. He's got some good aspects (nice shot and a bit of a gritty game) but he doesn't do anything overly well.

I expect he'll be claimed though. I personally think that out of some of the at-the-time-Duck prospects to be waived in recent years like Carter and Bodie (now Ducks property again but not really a prospect anymore), Beleskey's the best one of the bunch. If those two were claimed, I'd be surprised to see Beleskey clear. Although, stranger things have happened.
