NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

This game felt like a game from last season where we're holding on to pucks and dominating down low.
It's a good feeling in here when everyone's working, everyone's going, and you just feel the energy create through the lineup.
- Ryan Callahan

It was our most complete game of the year. The sign of a good team is learning their lesson.
I think the other night against Ottawa, having the three-goal lead and letting it get away, we didn’t want to make the same mistake.
- Erik Christensen

I talked to the coaches, I didn’t skate because of re-entry waivers for a couple of days and, you know, really the guys played pretty last game and had a big win so I wouldn’t change the lineup.
- Sean Avery

We needed to score the next one before they did. If they score the next one, it ends up being a pretty tough building to play in.
- John Tortorella

LGR!! Hopefully we win, but not too badly. I have Hiller in one of my fantasy leagues. A 1-0 win would be delicious.

A win would be excellent. I anticipate a loss.

Either way, LGR!

Alright, should be a good game. Really hope they can pick off where they left off, they played a great game against a VERY good Sharks team. Consistent scoring chances, good finish, solid defense, and rock solid goaltending.

This team can be good...it's just a matter of putting it together.

Rangers coach John Tortorella will use the same lineup that produced the team's most complete performance of the season, a 5-2 win against San Jose on Monday at the Garden.

For what it's worth, Avery agrees with the coach's decision.

"I didn't skate because of re-entry waivers for a couple of days, and really the guys played pretty good last game, had a big win," Avery said. "I wouldn't change the lineup."

Hopefully they build on their good performance last game. I have a feeling we will score a bunch of goals again.

4-2 Rangers

Well, if Avery agrees, then it must be the right decision.

It would be nice if we could finish this game with a 2 game win "streak" and hopefully the beginning of a better stretch in this season.

One can only hope.

No reason to tinker with the line-up. Let's continue gelling and becoming a real team.

When they announce Sean Avery as a healthy scratch, I wonder if the Garden would boo that's he's not playing or cheer that's he's back...

Anyway... Let's go Rangers!

I know it's early but I'll go so far as to say this is a big game. We can't go back to whatever the **** we were smoking the first 9 games. It's time to build on the Sharks game and start showing up regularly. I'm tired of the bull **** and we're never gonna go anywhere until the bull **** stops. The bull **** needs to stop starting tomorrow. LGR!

Why? You want to mess with the lineup that showed up last game? That beat the Sharks 5-2?

You can wait until they're losing 1-0 or for EC to take a penalty or do something wrong before the "we want Avery" chants lol.
If I was going I would be Avery announced as a scratch. The boo would be for the scratch, not Aves.

Gotta be honest guys I thought we had a better shot at winning a Cup then seeing Sean Avery in a Rangers sweater this season.
