Best concert I've been to was Page and Plant in 99 at the Civic Arena.
Favorite albums, can't live without: Led Zep 1 and Houses of the Holy. Weezer Pinkerton. Sublime 40 oz to Freedom. Counting Crows Recovering the Satellites. Pantera Vulgar Display of Power. Derek and the Dominoes Layla and other Assorted Love Songs
Best concert I've been to was Page and Plant in 99 at the Civic Arena.
Nice. I was also in attendance for that show. Certainly right at the top of the list of any concert I've ever been to. It doesn't hurt that they're one of my all-time favorites. Probably the first band I ever really got into.
I saw My Morning Jacket in Pittsburgh just a few months ago at Stage AE. That may have been the best show I've ever seen. Those guys are just so impressive live. Great venue, too. Ween a few years back at Mr. Smalls is right up there, as well.
Please tell me there's some Tea Party fans out there. I LOVE converting people...
Absolutely.....not many TP fans here in US though. It seems that they are big in Canada, but they are more popular in EU than in US.
My fave bands...........don't have a favorites per se. Only music that I consider worth listening and not worth listening. I listen to anything from hard rock, metal, punk, hardcore (punk that is), alternative, electronica, jazz, funk, blues and anything in between.
Best concert I've been on...........Metallica "...and justice for all" tour.
Currently spinning on my MP3 player.......Uneven Structure - Februus
I haven't been to many concerts however, I got to go to go and see INXS in my home town in 1987. Unbeknown to me, this was the only time I got to see Michael Hutchence (the frontman) perform. Another one I loved was Baby Animals (another Aussie Rock band) when they performed in my home town in about 1992.
Top 5 bands all-time?
Far out, I am a fan of many bands and genres (I don't like Gangsta Rap, Death Metal, most Country Music although I love the ones that you can listen to when Wasted, or any of that teeny bopper garbage like Justin Beiber, Hanson, or that manufactured trash on Disney Channel). This won't be easy to narrow down.
Not in any particular order...
*Metallica (and one of my good pals got to meet them when they toured Australia last year - biatch)
*INXS (before Michael Hutchence died)
Honorable Mentions: U2, Rolling Stones, The Living End, Powderfinger, Wolfmother, Hoodoo Gurus, Kings of Leon, Grinspoon, David Guetta - there's plenty more but I CBF thinking ATM
Top 10 albums all-time?
Once again - not in any particular order....
*Opens up my iTunes Library*
*Ten - Pearl Jam (as far as I am concerned, this is what I call Driving Music)
*The Wall - Pink Floyd
*A Funk Odyssey - Jamiroquai
*Dynasty - Kiss
*And Justice For All - Metallica
*Back in Black - AC/DC
*The Swing - INXS
*Tragic Kingdom - No Doubt
*Hot August Night - Neil Diamond
*Never mind the Bollocks - Sex Pistols
What CD is in your car player right now (or queued up on your ipod)?
I don't play particular CD's, I go by play lists (I also play songs randomly and not by order). The last one I played was a selection of tunes from some of my Ministry of Sound Running Trax Collection.
What is the best current band concert experience you've had?
I'm sure most of you have not heard of this Aussie band, but I saw The Living End (similar to say The Jam) at a Music Festival that I went to about 2 years ago and it was an awesome experience.
If you were going on survivor and could only take one album, what would it be?
Definitely Ten by pearl Jam because this was one of the first albums that we kids played (i'm one of 4 kids) that our Mother liked (true story).
Also, this was the first cassette (some of you youngins won't know what that is...haha) that I played in the car after I obtained my Drivers License. I am now fortunate that Ten is now entrenched in my iTunes Library and on to my iPod titled "The Bestest Driving Music ever" with that Album on it and nothing else. I have even trashed several (at least half a dozen) cassette copies of Ten because I played it so often so thank Christ iTunes was invented....haha

Favorite Band (not necessarily greatest of all time): Bayside
Best Concert Experience: Tie between Death Cab For Cutie, The Format at Mr. Small's or Fun. at the Grog Shop in Cleveland, and Every Time I Die anywhere.
Top 5 Bands: this is pretty hard for me to do but I'll go with...
2. All things Ben Gibbard (Death Cab, Postal Service)
3. Five Iron Frenzy (mostly for nostalgic purposes)
4. New Found Glory
5. Every Time I Die
Honorable mention: The Format/Fun., Copeland, MeWithoutYou, Dashboard Confessional, Elliott Smith, all things Conor Oberst, The Startling Line, Fall Out Boy, Underoath, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, etc.
Top 10 Favorite Albums (in no particular order and I'm bad usually bad at picking favorite albums so this is just off top of head:
The Format - Dog Problems
Death Cab For Cutie - Plans
Bayside - Bayside or The Walking Wounded
Copeland - Eat.Sleep.Repeat
Fall Out Boy - Take This To Your Grave
Kanye West - College Dropout
Every Time I Die - Gutter Phenomenon
Boys Night Out - Trainwreck
Five Iron Frenzy - Proof That The Youth Are Revolting
MxPx - Teenage Politics (totally for nostalgic purposes)
MeWithoutYou - Brother, Sister
CD Currently in My Wife's Car (I rarely drive): Taking Back Sunday (self titled)
Best Current Concert Experience: Just went to the "Pop Punk's Not Dead Tour" last night with New Found Glory headlining. They were awesome as usual. Set Your Goals sucked (I usually dig them live) but still a fun show.
The one CD I would take on Survivor would probably be Death Cab - Plans. It's just such a fantastic album and I never get sick of his voice. I may have other "favorite" albums but this one will always have longevity.

Not a Postal Service fan, but like Death Cab and love Plans.
I had never heard of Bayside, but they are opening up for The Gaslight Anthem in December, so I will get so see them live.
Really funny that Bayside is opening for Gaslight. Bayside has been a band since 2000ish and has a pretty decent size fan base so that just speaks to how fast Gaslight has risen. Both great bands. Enjoy the show.
- Who is the greatest band ever (after Led Zeppelin of course)?
To many to choose but for me after Led Zep it would have to be Metalica getting back to the younger years.
- What is the best concert experience you've had?
Best was La la palooza(can't remember the year) Grass flying like fireworks and I to this day will have Primus burned into my head.
- Top 5 bands all-time? Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Sabbath, Metalica, Jimmy Hendricks
- Top 10 albums all-time?
Physical Graffiti, The wall, Paranoid, And justice for all, Are you experienced, Moving pictures,
I'll think of more later.
- What CD is in your car player right now (or queued up on your ipod)?
Since I have Sirius, Lamb of God has laid to rest in my CD player.
- What is the best current band concert experience you've had?
Ozzy with my brother
- If you were going on survivor and could only take one album, what would it be?
Lamb of God - Laid to Rest
I'm pretty much all over the map as far as music goes. So many eras and craves.
I'll note the 80's music was one of the worst in history,(Boy George) and the like while still putting out some awesome bands music at the same time.
Dude, the Lamb Of God album your thinking of is Lamb Of God's "Ashes Of The Wake" from 2004.
"Ashes Of The Wake" is their album title and not Laid To Rest. "Laid To Rest" is just the name of the first song on their "Ashes" album. Which is a damn good song to start that album off with too I might add.
Greatest Band Ever: The Velvet Underground
Best Concert: The Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse back-to-back at Sasquatch this year.
Top 5 Favorite Bands of All-Time: Modest Mouse, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Okkervil River, Sigur Rós, of Montreal
Top 10 Albums: Oh Boy...that's a hard one...let me get back to you on that one...
CD in the Car: The Antlers - Burst Apart
Best Current Band Concert Experience - Uh...see previous concert response.
Desert Island CD: Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
Currently been digging:
And going back a year or two with some other stuff in heavy rotation right now:
I love your taste in music- my favorite band is Modest mouse as well- they are so underrated- which I kind of like.
My best show was when Modest mouse played in 1999 in this tiny place in Miami called the “polish wedding hall” – played songs from lonesome, long drive, and a few from their new album good news. They also hung out after the show, and chilled with fans which was cool. I also hung with them after a show last year and got some pic’s with Isaac-
5 favorite bands/artists: Nirvana, Pixies, The Clash, David Bowie, They Might Be Giants(earlier stuff)
10 favorite albums in no particular order: Nevermind- Nirvana
In Utero- Nirvana
All 4 Pixies albums
London Calling- The Clash
Daydream Nation- Sonic Youth
This Year's Model- Elvis Costello
Quadrophenia- The Who
For me Pixes & Nirvana are neck and neck for best band ever
