And now it's 5-1 Bruins. Since that hit, the Bruins have just dominated the Sabres. Not so dumb eh?

Obviously might makes right!

After a great start, the Sabres have looked like trash lately.

What's funny is after all the love for them and Toronto, it's looking more and more likely that the NE will have the same standings as last year.

How much longer will it take for Leaf fans to say the Habs ruined their season by injuring Reimer if he soon doesn't return?

Buffalo has been terrible right from the get-go. Their puck possession numbers are utterly abysmal. This is decidedly un-Sabre-like.

Then again, thinking Leino is a first-liner and Erhoff a D-corps cornerstone is decidedly un-Regier-like.

You miss the point. There are times that you cross the line to change the flow of the game. Sure the Sabres could have made them pay by scoring, but instead they turtled. It's no different than starting a fight just to change momentum. I'm sure that Julien didn't bench him.

He's lucky Miller's stick didn't connect with his Vancouver Island-sized nose or it would have been stuck to his left ear.

Any chance people review their analysis of the Bruins? Or am I daydreaming here? They were bad at the beginning as they were suppose to be....wonder why people weren't able to see this 'cause it was so obvious....

Maybe one day someone will take down this punk Lucic. If the NHL can't do its job (how many sucker punches did this monkey throw after the whistle without being penalized?), maybe a player will.

Not me... The Bruins are good, we knew that. About as good at the Habs, and with Buffalo being unexpectedly terrible, it should normally be a two-horse race between Montreal and Boston for the NE crown.

They may have been last in the East at one point, but they got there the same way the Habs had: playing really well and not winning. Their percentages were terrible, they took a drastic swing, it happens.

Don't expect them to continue to average 4-5 goals plus a game. Do expect them to make the playoffs and contend for the division crown.

That's the thing. I don't think Lucic can think that far ahead. He's just dumb.

Trying to run over a goalie is DIRTY. Or maybe it's a strong hockey play?

Well unless I was dreaming, I recall some if not most calling them not that good and they won solely based on luck and conspiracy and most of them even used the start of the season to prove their point. And the difference between us and them? They are proven winners. We are obviously not there yet. So every team could start the same way, one team surely knows they'll get out of it eventually, they have the confidence to do so. As far as we're concerned, well we are proving that we are a .500 team. Yet, those 2 wins on the road "might" build the confidence we need to be more than that.

Things are seen pretty differently though. Buffalo is seen as terrible and they have a 10-6 record while we are seeing Boston and Habs as better teams than them. Might mean that stats often don't say the whole story.

When will people recognize the Bruins are a great team, this is nothing about luck, they are big, strong, systematic, disciplined and pretty tough to face every nights at home and on the road..

I'm curious what Sabres fans think of Leino, I hated the signing at the time. I haven't really seen him play, maybe he's just had bad luck, but he was pretty invisible when I have watched Buffalo.

Boston got the benefit of their goalie having the best season ever by any goalie in the history of the game.

Last year was last year; they were pedestrian on overall puck possession but rode unsustainable goaltending and a great deal of shooting luck to the top of the NE.

They've actually been a much better possession club this year than last year. Their current rise had to be expected, although not them beating everyone by three goals or more. That won't last, but them heading towards a playoff spot, will. Just like the Habs, really.

Yeah, being a "proven winner" is something that makes a hockey team better. Good laugh, I needed that.

Oh, wait, you're serious, aren't you?

The stats actually say exactly that, and add "it's not even close". They also say "sometimes the best hockey team doesn't win on a short period".
