Bruins

I don't know how Bruins have been losing in the last few games.

They are doing really well forechecking against Senators. Much better than the last 6 teams Sens played against.

Forechecking leads to nothing if you cannot shoot puck behinds the goalie.

I think it's to discuss how OP thinks the Bruins are playing well right now, and doesn't know how they've lost the last few games.

Other people are welcome to submit their opinions on this topic too, of course.

This is without a doubt, Ottawa's worst game over the past 6. I suspect they are a little intimadated by the Bruins, but also credit to the Brruins, they are playing hard. I expect a better effort from Ottawa in the next two periods.

Empty net goals aside- only one of their 7 losses has been by more than a goal.

They're close, but are still out of sorts.

Senators are leading. This is not the 3rd period, there was no comeback.

They certainly aren't playing simple hockey. Look good at times, try to make the high risk plays and get burned for it. They may have won the cup, but pretty plays isn't what got them to the show. They need Mark Recchi yelling this at them in the dressing room.

Only 3 of their games had more than 2 goals for though.

Did you watch the games they lost?

One period is not a good representation of anything.

They played long into last year. It takes time. They'll get it together and it's not like anyone is blowing them away.

Chiarelli is secretly plotting to tank this year to draft Yakupov. You can tell by the lack of offseason moves.

They'd be the best team in the league if the net was rotated 180 degrees

Two of their three wins are against division leaders (Toronto and Chicago). Another symptom of the cup hangover?

They miss having the Leafs first rounder to tank with, decided to use their own this season.

It's hilarious how snakebitten they've been so far this season. They've also been showing their frustration via taking stupid penalties, this game aside.

If you don't score at least 5 goals on the Senators then your offense is bad :|

I'm no expert but I think they ran into a couple of tremendous goaltending performances from Bryzgalov, Varlamov and Ward. That hurt their offensive confidence. Krejci got hurt. Horton has looked like a player coming off a concussion, and still does. But it all started with a couple of hot goalies looking to make a statement against the champs.
