I think they might need to overdo it a little. In the last few games the kids have been getting pushed around a lot, someone needs to show other teams we aren't just going to take it. I've been waiting for Pecks to take a big run at someone.
I'm fine with all that...I simply mean overdoing it as in screwing around, getting hemmed in the zone and trying to do more than they need to.
Case in point, Peckham making cross-ice passes that end up as bad turnovers in our own zone.
I want that pairing to dump it down or make quick passes and then clean sweep the front of the net like their lives depend on it.
Glad to see this guy getting called up, i think he is flying under the rader and has a legit chance at being a top 4 d-man in the future. Much better than Plante; better skater, great shot, better at both ends of the rink. Although he might of been a bit of a miscast at 13 in 08, he went high for a reason.

Agreed, everyone on these boards seem to think that stay-at-home defensive d-men are a dime a dozen. Although Colten definitely isn't there yet but there is a big difference between a guy like Andy Sutton and Adam Foote.

Definately not going to be as good as someone like Foote but a solid top 4 shutdown d man who can chip in offensively ala Robyn Regehr is certainly not out of the question. I havent seen him play really in OKC but i know his main downfall is his Hockey Sense but is other attributes can carve out a niche for him at the NHL level.

Hoping for the best for Teubert, as mentioned before I hope he doesn't try to do to much, especially seeing as it's LA that he's getting his first game against
I am soooo excited for tomorrows game I know that most of the posters here aren't huge fans of the kid but I still remember seeing an article written about him in the 2007 THN draft preview. They compared him to the next Chris Pronger and I couldn't help but follow him ever since. I was so excited that we acquired "the punisher" in the Dustin Penner deal. Obviously he is no Pronger but I think he is going to surprise a LOT of people.
Really, Teubs has all the tools to be a top pairing dman at the NHL level but he doesn't have the head for the game yet. When he tries to do too much he ends up hurting his team but all the tools are there. Let's just hope he keeps it simple and plays the defensive role that he does so well.
Anyone that forgets to bring his passport shows a horrible lack of judgment and game smarts and is probably a huge bust.

Could you imagine how PISSED Lombardi and Kings fans would be? That said I'd anticipate Penner wanting to play well and show up his old team, maybe I'm wrong?
