I think they should play him against the Kings. It could be a great motivational tool for him. And if he just outshines Penner completely he might give Lombardi an aneurysm
maybe Tambo should sit beside him just in case that happens so that he can give him mouth to mouth lol...should be a fun game to watch, between Q-Bert and Smytty, and Penner, Moreau and Fraser, this has all the makings of a good rivalry...it would be funny to see Tambo and Lambo sitting within earshot of each other.
He seemed a bit tentative with the puck at times, but, IMHO, one can see why he once was selected in the 1st round. Nice combination of size and speed, did not seem to make any glaring positional mistakes. He could be a useful player for us down the road.
Disagree. He's very shaky with the puck and could still use another season in the AHL.
Our best d-man prospects are Gernat and Marincin.
Glad to see that Teubert didn't get lit up in his debut, but we should really keep our expectations a little more manageable.

until some of those recent draft picks really get going, I would agree with this.
Petry is the top dog in that group but Teubert is next in line. I think the biggest issue is that we as oil fans have seen almost nothing of what Teubert is capable of. he spent a good chunk of time languishing behind LA's ridiculous defence depth in the minors, came over the the barons and played well, but then got hurt in the prospects tourney and wasn't able to show us anything substantive in pre-season.

You may be right, he had a solid, simple night, last night, he's big, physical, skates well and can move the puck pretty well. I hope he gets a bit of a longer look, just to see what he could do. Even with Barker back, I'd like to see a Teubert-Barker pairing.

I suspect Teubert stays up until sutton's suspension is over with, but you never know. they might continue to give Peckham some rope and allow him the opportunity to prove himself over the course of the next 3-4 games while waiting on sutton.

When I think best prospect I think who would garner a bigger return. I think at this point someone like Klefbom and Marincin would get a bigger return than Teubert and Petry.

No way. None of the defensive prospects have more value than Petry. He is 95% of what we dare hope Klefbom and Marincin become. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
