Wyatt Smith. I knew this thread would remind me of another guy. Also not that long ago.

OH! Totally forgot about Travis Brigley! Hard to believe he actually centered Tanguay and Hejduk for a game. He did...didn't he?

Tjarnqvist was actually pretty okay for us during that dreadful season. But when Jordan Leopold is your best defender, it's not hard to shine.

Vrbata slipped my mind. Completely forgot about that guy. Always liked him.

Leo was a pretty decent player. I would take him back.

Phil Sauve. I know he was just a backup, but it was grantee lose night when he was in the nets. Just terrible.

Tommy Salo. Enough said.

On the topic of mediocre goaltenders, I still can't believe we went into a season with the tandem of Peter Budaj and Andrew freaking Raycroft. I've seen bantam hockey teams with better goaltending...

He played great in the All-Star game.

I remember Klee, he was solid in his one year with the Avs. They shouldn't have let him go.

Ryan Smyth is the most forgettable Av to me. I mean, the Avs had Ryan Smyth! Star throughout his career, Edmonton hallmark, and the Avs lured him in. But after ten games of looking good and the Avs offense in general looking great (remember the San Jose game?), the Smyth era quickly became forgettable.

I guess it was his 600th goal. I remember the Avs making a big deal out of it, but 600 doesn't seem all that "monumental" to me....500 and 1,000 would be though

God, yes. Suave was awful. I mean, with him starting you just resigned yourself to a loss. Even Raycroft didn't inspire that sort of pessimism.

Wasn't Dowd traded when the Avs were in Chicago, so that he literally just switched locker rooms?

Also, been waiting for a Barnaby mention. What I'd forgotten about him is that he had 9 points in 13 games after the trade. 37 PIM, too.

Barnaby also said that leaving Avs for a couple of bucks more is the biggest mistake he made in his life.

Totally forgot about Hunter playing for the franchise again, and that Kurri played for us.

I remember Barnaby playing for us because the KGB line with him, Kono and Gratton was the first legit checking line the Avs had used in years. Wish they could have kept that line together for a few years, they would've been a lot of fun to watch.

God, he was fun to watch. I still smile when I remember him talking guys into dropping the gloves, only to skate away laughing.

Or when he'd be talking to the refs during a fight, like he was saying "No, we're not done yet." and then he'd throw a punch or two to prove his point.

Remember when Alex Riazantsev was going to seamlessly replace Sandis Ozolinsh?
