Let's build our own talent. Instead of trying to bring in talent over 30. After you lay the base, you can bring in those guys.

Eklund has had some bad rumors over the years but this one is one of the worst...

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklun...-Rumor/1/42042

Parise for Nash...that makes no sense for ssooooooo many reasons.

1-Parise is a UFA and it would be a stupid risk for Columbus
2-Nash makes a pile of money and New Jersey is nearly broke, if they were to spend that money would just re-sign Parise who has better stats the last 3-4 years
3-I doubt Parise signs with Columbus as he's said he wants to play for a contender

Why is this too risky for Nashville?

Just imagine:

Hamrlik
Wiznewski
Halpern
Pouliot

instead of...

Markov (and Kaberle)
Spacek (and Campoli and Woywitka)
Nokelainen (and Engqvist and Betts)
Blunden

Gauthier gambled last June/July with his UFA players and lost.

Pouliot, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh man, chicken freaking POULIOT. Yes ladies and gentlemen that is the reason for the Habs struggles this year. Its all because Benoit Poukiot is not with the Habs. pouliot has 8 goals playing a top 9 role on an offensive team. Holy christ , the guy is the biggest wimp in the NHL. He even said he is happy that he wont have to stick up for himself now that he is in Boston.

Pouliot

If we win tomorrow night in Toronto I expect Eklund to suddenly change and have the Habs buyers. Hits hits hits

I'd rather have Pouliot on my third 4th line than two defencemen

Pouliot doesent play like a 4th lines. Never uses his body, the man is weak. How many times does he fall down a game because of his chicken legs. Too funny, if he was in Montreal the same fans that wanted him back would be cursing him. Good Riddance POULET

I think we were too hasty on pouliot. I liked him and there was time to build him up. I liked lapierre too. I really have zero confidence in this management/ownership team.

Hamrlik was a keeper, even for 3 more years and Wisniewski was only a keeper at $4,500,000.00 NOT $6,000,000.00 plus.

The ideal line up for this year would have been:

Cammalleri - Plekanec - Gionta
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Cole
Kostitsyn - Eller - Leblanc
Darche - White - Moen
Gomez

Markov - Gorges
Gill - Subban
Hamrlik - Emelin
Weber

Price

Hamrlik was done and was not worth 2 years. Glad they made the right decision and playing guys like Emelin and Diaz
