Beaulieu had 2 A and +2...7-16-23 in 26 games and +18 49 PIMs for the season.
Archambault was 1-1-2 and +3. 9-10-19 in 23 games and -10 for the year...would be nice if he could get on a tear, disapointing production so far.
What?! Archie finishing with a PLUS rating?! No way!

Maybe the coaches told him not to fight but I think he should start learning to fight now in the OHL before he's in the AHL/NHL against real men and it's too late.
I don't want another Hal Gill.
His coaches explicitly said that he will tone down the fighting if it's unnecessary because they're lining up Tinordi and Harrington (his D partner) against the top lines. Basically he's too important to go around fighting every other game. I just hope he takes boxing lessons from his dad
1st play of the vid: Kristo's goal, great work along the boards, never quits, dekes and scores....okay the goalie looked terribly weak, doesn't matter, Kristo worked that goal great.
0:27: Kristo great pass to Nelson that resulted in a scoring chance. Kristo taking the hit to get that pass in.
1:12 Watch Kristo's speed.
2:37 Wow....Kristo's speed AND fast hands at work but....on the post. Great deke!
4:11 Kristo intercepts a pass and just rips it pass the goalie for goal #2. Great overall play.
Last play of the vid: Nelson's goal after Kristo attempting a shot on net....nothing extraordinairy but just to explain his pass....
Seen the Vancouver Giants vs Saskatoon Blades on Sat night. Not a great game to watch. Didn't notice Dietz much, which is probably a good thing as a dman. Broke in on a 2 on 1 once and showed impressive speed which I didn't think he had, didn't score. Got hung out to dry by a bad turnover by a forward and was the last man back chasing a guy who scored. Other than that, had a quiet game.
Gallagher, well it was my first time seeing him. He certainly isn't big, and his speed doesn't really stand out. I was thinking he wasn't playing all that well, but the next thing you know he had 3 good scoring chances and almost buried one that the Saskatoon goalie just knocked away as it was going over the goaline. Took a couple penalties. Ended the night with an assist. While he didn't dangle or anything that much, he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Good hockey sense for sure.

Kristo and Gallagher are prime prospects, but don't forget Leblanc,Bournival and Quailer the Habs have some really interesting forwards coming soon. The offence looks to be getting some quality players within two or three years.Quailer may be the biggest surprise and not just because he's 6'4 and 200 lbs. it seems he's back to the form he showed three years ago before he was injured. The Habs reportedly were thinking of signing him after his first year in college until the injury setback.
Watched Kristo/MacMillan on Saturday, another big game from Kristo to get the game winner in a must win series sweep. MacMillan wasn't noticeable again but Kristo was flying out there.
Also watched some of the Denver game vs Princeton, I haven't finished watching it yet and the game didn't record the 1st period but it appeared that Didier was getting more ice time, not sure if someone was injured or if they did that because it was a non conference game.
Saw the highlights from the Michigan-Northeastern game (tried to watch online up the game wasn't on anywhere I could find) Quailer looked good, Michigan not so much as not only did they get smoked at home by a bad Northeastern team they followed it up with a loss to Union as well. Bennett though continues to pick up the points though.
Yeah I think had he gotten an invite his game would have grown on them, he is very underrated but being a more stay at home and from the Q hurt his chances.

Totally agree. I believe most Team Canada people don't believe in a "stay-at-home Q d-man...". Yet, that D squad is incredibly strong. I even start to believe that Beaulieu will not be on the final roster. And there's something way more unbelievable than not having Ellis there.....like Duncan Siemens.
Agree as well. Inviting him at this camp was a no-brainer. I guess another example of not playing in the right league...You look at this summer camp every year and sometimes, you believe that they invite some players 'cause it would be real easy to cut them. Making it up for the tougher decisions once those guys are gone.
On a side note, and while it's not related....YET....to our prospects....DI GIUSEPPE!!!
It starts and ends with Wolverines!!!

Why? He's a very good player but not to the point where he should play WJHC at 16. He's going to the U17 for Team Atlantic.
Let's see.. leads one of the best teams in the Q in scoring without Martin Frk. Has very little support on his line (Ciampini isn't doing that well..) and he is 16.
Is only behind Mikhail Grigorenko (2 points in 2 less games and Grigorenko's supporting cast is much stronger) for rookie scorers in the Q.
Whitesnake is absolutely right with his comment. This isn't the case of not being a good enough player, it's about a players history and where he plays. MacKinnon is simply good enough to be on the camp roster and definitely good enough to make them think about being a part of the main team.
This is the same team that cut RNH (look at what he's doing in the NHL). So obviously the Team Canada brain-trust isn't as perfect as you're lead to believe.

Alex Saulnier was 4th in league scoring when they played the Subway series or whatever, he was top 10 last year also, he plays the PP, PK, takes important faceoffs and plays against top lines and they didn't even invite him to those games.

Alex Saulnier is not a pro level prospect. Nathan MacKinnon will be 1st overall in his draft year.
