As much as people can lay the blame on Marty, the defence has been absolutely rancid. Nevertheless I don't think this games beyond us yet, we've had good chances; Henrique and Palmieri could have scored and Sykora could have a two goal night.
I'm still not giving up hope. This team has had more chances this game than in any game this season. This game could very easily be 5-5 right now. Take the blocked shot on Sykora. The Henrique re-direction. The Sykora breakaway, that led to Sykora looking for Kovy but getting sticked away. So many chances. Take away a softy or four, and we're dominating this game. Despite scoring 5 goals and leading by 2, I'm still not impressed by how Toronto has played.
I love it that people only had the balls to thrash Marty when he entered his late 30's when most players start to decline, when there are other 'good' goalies that are 4-7 years younger and are already on the decline. When the team you root for has little to no success, you have to hold on to the small pleasures of life.
Jonathon lurks then pounces when it's time...What a pathetic life that man lives. So angry over Brodeur's illustrious HOF career..I know, it hurts jonny boy.
Makes me puke everytime he post on the Devils board and behaves like he is unbiased towards the Devils. But once there is a chance to throw dirt on the Devils in any way, Jonathon will throw the first rock.
Sorry, Marty has been bad. Now, so has the D zone coverage. By everyone, not just the D. Every player in the D zone has been bad so far tonight with just a couple exceptions.
in no way am I saying he is playing well, he isnt. Seems really slow tonight. But for everyone blaming it on him has blinders on. Guess they grew tired of blaming Kovy, and now that Palm is on the 4th line, they gotta go somewhere i guess
