I think Chico is referencing their forecheck and o-zone play. They should keep doing what they are doing there. Also, some fantastic outlets from the almost-19-year-old. Jesus, I know we were once used to rolling over the league but this is one game in a competitive league. They have been in every game and outplayed most of their periods. Strap a sack on y'all.
Excuse me while i am getting infracted in the Marty is done thread. ****ing piece of **** waiting for Marty's decline like an aasvogel
Pay no worship to over-reactive fools.
Truth is, Marty is in the sunset of his career. He is having a bad first game back after a two-week layoff, in his second full game of the season. And yes, his game has been incrementally declining in recent campaigns, relative to his first 13+ years.
But the rush to which Born Yesterday idiots like to push veteran players off to pasture is mind-numbing, as is the juvenile urge to pass immediate judgement and render verdicts on...everything. I mean, forty minutes in after missing two weeks? Second full game of the season?
It's offical: perspective is dead in the land of idiots. Nope, better to be the first to make some asinine, extreme declaration. It's kewl!
If I recall, Marty was pretty solid toward the end of last season. And he has played a grand total of <6 periods this season. So he's having a bad first game back and is not a snot nosed 18 year old kid anymore (read: the only type of hockey player valued by the weird child-lovers on HF's main board)....thus, the crap we read on the main board.
Oh and PS - Wake me up when Roberto Luongo's and Henrique Lundqvist's NHL teams win a ******* thing. Nothing quite as amusing fans of NYR and Vancouver, two franchises allergic to success their entire existence including currently, talking smack from the gutter.
