Calling up Flood over Postma is a head stratcher. Flood played well for the Moose last year, but Postma was the leading scorer for the ice caps last time I checked. Maybe they saw Flood as being more of a reliable two-way type player. Here's hoping that Flood gets his first NHL goal if he indeed plays.

I think this is going to be another high scoring game. If we take a lot of bad penalties, we are going to be on the losing side, but I think they will play a more disciplined game. 5-4 Jets with Flood scoring the winner in OT .

Pretty much that. What we need right now is more of a defensive defenceman. Postma will get his time with the Jets if we need some offence in a call-up. If I recall correctly, St. John's scratched him a few times because of his poor defensive play.

And I honestly think we can win this one and grab our first winning streak of the year. The Isles haven't been playing too great lately and are catching some bad breaks. Our D will be a bit thin, but I'm looking to Pavs to stand on his head.
Thank you sir
I had a speech prepared, but I misplaced it.

It's certainly a winnable game for the Jets as I see these teams being pretty evenly matched. With the Jets missing several defensemen and the Islanders struggling lately it could be an ugly game.

Had a dream we lost 2-1...
I don't buy it though, I still think we pull this out.

I love DP's face in that video, he looks so stunned.

My fantasy teams needs a win and have Pavs in net tonight. I hope he plays and I hope they win!

I feel good about November. Pavelec is on my Thrashers calender for November. I expect good things from him and the team(knocks on wood).

Hoping for a win today.

I'd forgotten about this, but in the same game just a bit before, Sopel had scored a goal almost off of the face off as well.

Might be nice if the 2 guys called up don't run around and have that "deer in the headlights" look on their faces in our own end.

Otherwise, this could be a tough/frustrating game to watch.

Festerling has played 80+ games in the NHL, and Flood isn't a young guy looking to make an impression. I don't think either will have composure issues, their not as talented as the guys they're replacing, thats more my concern.

With the bluelines both these teams are icing, I'll be surprised if less than 10 goals are scored.

Jets: Bogosian, Byfuglien, Oduya, Jones, Festerling, Flood
Isles: Streit, Staios, Hamonic, MacDonald, Eaton, Jurcina

I thought Festerling looked good in the pre-season. Don't recall Flood all that much.

Hopefully Stuart's good to go... Bogo, Buff, Oduya, Jones, Festerling and Flood don't exactly fill me with confidence as a group.

IMO, Islanders blueline doesn't look too bad. Our does.

You mean the blueline that is:

-Collectively -12 with the highest plus/minus defenseman being Eaton who is 0?
-Collectively scored 2 goals and 12 points total, with Streit scoring 8 of them?

This type of blue-line could be just what the Jets need because these guys will just play safe, smart hockey. Look at the Oilers. You can win with a depleted and seemingly under-manned defense.

Yeah, the blueline with a #1 defenseman and two top 4 defensemen. With Enstrom and Hainsey out, their D is much better.

Isles fan here

I just came to say, our D isn't as bad as it looks.....I am interested in seeing what Mark Flood does, because his play was so un-inspirational, I don't even remember any of his good points.

5-5 the isles are bad. Our goalie DP played good the other game but it is just a matter of time.....I hope to say this is going to be a 2-1 or 3-1 game won by either team. But this could be a 7-6 game, because lord knows Grabner and Okposo and Moulson and PAP Smear all break out.

Anyways here's to a good game. Welcome back

Brooklyn isn't a city, it is a part of THE CITY!(hopefully people know which one) ugh!
and funny thing is the guy that produced this did Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 5 years prior!
