4-3-3 and they played (hopefully) their worst hockey of the year. throw in a hectic travel schedule and no marc staal and things should only be looking up

I am positive we will make the playoffs. However, i do not think we'll make it past round 1 I am afraid

Yes.

What seed they will be, should be the question...

Maybe. But wait till we hit a bad stretch (usual December stretch) and find ourselves 8-10 points out.

The question should be how far, not if.

Voted possibly but what I'd want is a high draft pick, maybe like the flyers when they had their awful season a couple of years ago and drafted Van Riemsdyk and then the next year they were back in the hunt.

Too close to call. Need a larger sample size out of this team to put together an educated guess.

Without Staal 50/50. Sadly, we're still a bubble team.

The sooner Staal comes back, the more our chances improve. Same goes on the other side of the coin. I was surprised at the results of the poll so far; I guess I'm more pessimistic than most here, but I just think it's way too early in the season to say whether they have better than a 50/50 shot of making it in

Agree. I believe we'll be in the hunt for the 6/7/8 seeds with as many as 6 or 7 other teams. The top 5 seeds will be the Caps, Flyers, Pens, Sabres and Bolts. The uncertainty of Staal's health and our lack of scoring will continue to hold us back.

I think we'll earn a spot well before the absolute end of the season, but just like every other year, I don't see us doing much once we're there.

Coin toss. Like every season. It'll come down to a couple points.

I feel like we're either going to make it or absolutely bomb out. I hedged my bets and chose 50%.

I'm probably closer to 60%, though.

IF everyone stays healthy then I think it's near "Definitely" but since I can't see into the future I had to go with "Most Likely" because it seems safer.

Most likely , only b/c on paper we are a better team than last year. If we make it out of the first round, that is a different story. TBH

I think so, so long as no other major contributors get hurt. If Hank goes down, we are hosed.

I'm in the 50/50 camp strictly based on how other teams are playing and how many spots are available. I'd guess that Ottawa and especially Florida will come back down to earth at some point. Isles and perhaps Winnipeg may be cellar dwellers. Pens, Flyers & Caps I'd say are locks. Boston eventually will turn it around and who knows if Toronto can maintain this pace.

That leaves 8-10 teams fighting for 5 spots. 50/50... better odds if NJ or someone else bombs.

I voted 50/50.

We're a borderline playoff team without Staal and there's no telling when he'll be back. I see us remaining borderline and getting in if Staal returns. If he doesn't or it's too late, we miss. This team doesn't have the guts to make it without him.
