The real question is why can't our guys make crisp passes to one another without it bouncing off their sticks and directly to the other team...

Are you an Avs fan in Leaf clothing? Or visa versa? If you are a fan of the Leafs, please go there to make the comment.

Great turnover by the Jackets and an even better save by Mason

Maybe our guys screwed up on the turnover, but that's still no excuse for letting in that softie.

Sadly, I am beginning to think that we are seeing Mason's consistancy

I am beginning to think that the Jackets need a goalie like the Browns need a wide out, or quaterback

Well I am primarily an Avs fan, but living in Columbus they're my number two... Now, I'm no goalie, but I've always been told to shoot a foot off the ice stick side. Brodeur has a real weak spot there, as do many other butterfly goalers who don't always pull their blocker in...

I'd argue that he is *very* consistent.

Wow.

At the arena , it sure felt like the jackets outplayed them for long stretches. Sure is a shame mason can't string together a .750 save percentage to help out some.

I don't know that I've ever been so pissed at mason as I am right now. Jeebus.

Fair enough. Mason's weak spot is high glove side, and many other places as well, it sadly seems

Im going to be ********** pissed if this leads to hitch behind the bench. Priest needs to go. This game is par for the course, we dominate play and down 0-2 cause our goalie lets in shots from the wall

Maybe Nashville has the right formula, find a good young consistent goalie and build around him. A good young goalie is something this franchise has searched for in its ten years, and have yet to find, unless Mason somehow, some way finds his game

It would be quite a statement if we see York to start the second.

Turned on the game late. Wait, are the Jackets really facing the Leafs' third string goaltender? I thought I heard Davidge say this was his first NHL game.

Also, even Davidge blamed Mason for that goal.

Question:
I know Dougie Mac would talk to players and tell them what's expected of them, but does Howie ever do this? I get the feeling that the only people talking to the players are the coaches and that doesn't seem to be enough. Not enough accountability = country club

I had originally scheduled to fly out to Ohio this week and was going to be at this game... I was rather disappointed I ended up not being able to go, but seeing the score... not sure being there in person would have been much fun.

Mason
