Wow,was really hoping you guys could get this one, but you can't win with goaltending like that.

This is exactly what Portzline has been saying for years, it isn't that Columbus is a bad hockey market, it is that Columbus has the market for bad hockey

The next time we have a wide open net, we may as well not even shoot. It's going wide, not matter what.

Games like this is why I don't try to watch the Jackets sober.

Vermette is less than 10 feet from the center of the net with nobody in front and he doesn't get a shot on goal.

Edit: York did start vs Chi, he had an appearance vs Detroit... my bad.

Mason didn't look good on the first goal, Scrivans (sp) looks like an all-star.. I actually thought the Jackets looked good in the first period other than the goal tending.

They can come back but regardless, the Flyers are up next and they remember getting beat by the Jackets last season.

I feel for Arniel, and the team.

It's hard to justify watching the Jackets play when Mason is in net.

Seriously , How can we blame arniel for this , mason loses nearly every game we play, and is probably worst goalie in the game. We have paulson who may not score a goal this season, giroux is a wasted spot, is he really better than Atkinson ? Mackenzie on 1st line ? At this point, praying decanich is good, and we need carter bad. Trade brassard for help

Ok honestly, if Arniel gets the pink slip for this ****, its crap. Trade Mase before his trade value hits 0. We were outplaying them! Now everyone's down because of Mase! Get a real goalie, and we'll see where this team is.

I dont think ive ever seen such a poor performance from a goalie. 3 unscreened shots from the top of the circle, and they ALL go in!?

This one is not on Arneil. No coach can win with this defense and goaltending.

Yeah if the score's not 4-2 by 2nd intermission that's where I'm headed myself

Anyway yeah... I don't understand why Arniel didn't yank Mase after goal #2, honestly... but oh well.

BTW, is he benching Johansen again?? I haven't noticed him out there for a while...

Very good in that the nail is going in high on Mason's glove side

He is the coach. He cannot motivate the players to give a damn. He cannot fix any problems. He cannot show progress. He cannot get the team to do anything to either score or prevent goals.

Oh, and he keeps playing guys like Giroux.

Certainly Howson deserves a lot of blame for giving him these players, but the coach cannot get away without any blame.
