I had a dream last night that Latendresse played for the Red Wings, and we traded to get him. I forgot who we traded though.

Yay, someone stepped up to the plate and made the thread. I'm not making a prediction because we've lost every time I've said something one way or the other. Beat Wingy!

I'm thinking something along the lines of a 2-1 Wild win.

85:16 since the last time Wingy scored a goal. 107:40 since the last time Wingy scored an even strength goal.

I'm wondering what happened to it but I made a GDT because there wasn't one, merged it onto here and now the post seemed to disappear.

Wonder if there's a Twilight zone of HF GDTs where it went.

Minnesota Wild @ Detroit Red Wings | 6.30pm CST/1:30am EET | FS North & KFAN 100.3

It's time for another battle between Minnesota Wild and Detroit Red Wings, also known as Finland vs. Sweden as both teams are known for their high amount of players (and fans) from each country, Finns for Minnesota and Swedes for Detroit, respectively. Wild roster currently has two Finnish players, whereas the Red Wings boasts seven Swedes on their roster. That being said, as proved last spring, Finns are able to outscore Swedes approximately 6 to 1 so we're still ahead on quality.

As we all remember, these teams have faced each other twice this season, with the record tied 1-1 as the Red Wings won two weeks ago against the Wild on OT 3-2 but the Wild returned the favor three days ago when Dany Heatley was the only one who found the back of the net in a 1-0 victory.

Wild have recently gotten their chemistry bit better after a disappointing start especially for the top line of Heatley-Koivu-Setoguchi. Josh Harding looks really good and may challenge Niklas Bäckström for #1 goalie spot even during this season. Red Wings have a good starting goalie in Jimmy Howard as Ty Conklin has been but a bit more than a liability for the Motor City squad. Johan Franzen leads the Red Wings in scoring with Pavel Datsyuk and Valtteri Filppula also on 7 points, and breathing in their neck is veteran defender Nicklas Lidström who is still able to shut down the opposition despite being older than the moon. Sadly, same can't be said about Minnesota's defense which consists of Falk, Zidlicky and four S:es - literally. With the prospects still too young, Zidlicky bit too Czech, Schultz has been disappointing and Greg "Fence" Zanon injured, the Wild bunch has to rely on goaltender Josh Harding who is having a breakthrough season so far and is looking to add another victory - perhaps a shutout even. He just might challenge Niklas Bäckström for that #1 G spot on the line-up, too...

...Speaking of which, here are the starting line-ups for tonight's game:

Your Minnesota Wild tonight:
Left Wing Center Right Wing
Dany Heatley Mikko Koivu Devin Setoguchi
Pierre-Marc Bouchard Matt Cullen Guillaume Latendresse
Colton Gillies Kyle Brodziak Cal Clutterbuck
Brett Bulmer Darroll Powe Brad Staubitz

Left Defenseman Right Defenseman
Greg Zanon Marek Zidlicky

Nick Schultz Marco Scandella
Clayton Stoner Jared Spurgeon

Goalie:
Josh Harding

Detroit Red Wings:
Left Wing Center Right Wing
Henrik Zetterberg Pavel Datsyuk Tomas Holmstrom
Gustav Nyquist Johan Franzen Todd Bertuzzi
Danny Cleary Valtteri Filppula Justin Abdelkader
Drew Miller Darren Helm Patrick Eaves

Left Defenseman Right Defenseman
Nicklas Lidstrom Ian White
Niklas Kronwall Jakub Kindl
Jonathan Ericsson Brad Stuart

Goalie:
Jimmy Howard

Oh one more completely meaningless and contrived stat: 175:06 since Wingy has scored a goal that wasn't assisted by both Lidstrom and Datsyuk.

So, apparently I got ninja'd on the GDT. It's not like I spent ages writing that.

Oh well, better luck next time.

Don't worry I did the same thing (although not spend too much time on it - I never do) then someone made it disappear. Props for the detailed GDT!

EDIT: Thank God this one didn't disappear as well when merging.

For the record, Wingy fans have respected the chart last game.

Thanks. Also thank you for merging the threads, at least my writing wasn't lost forever. Looks kinda stupid to have 2 line-ups on single page but doesn't really matter.

Can you add the 1:30 AM EET on the title please? It's when the game starts in Finland, I thought with the high Finnish population here that it might be useful info. Thanks!

Sorry didn't mean to take it from ya, looks like 3 of us decided to put one together, good work.

In other news, we could sure use another win tonight.

Detty has 10 points, and we have 11. I guess that makes them underdogs, looking to pull off a huge upset against the vastly superior Wild
