I wouldn't be so sure. Edmonton needs a defenseman. Either they trade one of their top forward prospects and get a defenseman that way or they pass on Yakupov and get Murray or something. Columbus wants Yakupov, that's for sure.
Maybe they look to trade with Columbus to acquire Nash and switch their 1st round picks.

Speaking of Edmonton and trading forwards, any interest in Linus Omark? With the number of kids they have, and another top pick on the way, I could see them just not tendering him. Wouldn't mind seeing him brought in to camp to see if he can earn a contract.

Pretty poor fit. Where would he play even if he made the team?

He'd get the same role Brunnstrom was given before bombing out -depth/reserve. I know the guy is supposed to be uber-skilled but somewhat lacking in other areas, but I doubt anyone is going to give him a straight shot to their top6. at the same time, I think the Wings can have enough quality depth to give Omark skill to work with in the bottom6. If the guy wants to play, and wants to earn it, I think the fit can be there. If he doesn't, well...have fun on some third tier team or in the KHL.
he's a lazy **** and only playing for the gallery. always has been. not a character i want with the wings, simply because he will never be effective on any NHL team. never.
Considering that (IMO) the Penguins are the clear cut favorite to win the cup, losing that way, at home against their most bitter rival has to be overwhelmingly concerning. Detroit lost in a much different fashion.
Maybe its just me but I don't get the Pens/Crosby hate at all (in general, not just from Wings fans). We had two heated Cups with them but they aint even in the same conference and don't really have a real rivalry with them.
I don't hate them and even if I did they would be the lesser of two evils in this series because I detest the Flyers. (See my location for the reason why)
