You know, Vancouver, Detroit, SJ dont bother me for some reason, even thou we lost to Canucks i think we can handle them, but teams like Anaheim could give us fits... big, tough, gritty team. If Parros wants to dance who's gonna be his partner? Erskin is injured and the only legit heavyweight we got is on waivers. If the game gets nasty, we need a deterrent...even thou our deterrent spends majority of his time in the press box at least we still had him if we needed him... Anyway, I don't want our boys to feel intimidated.
With Halpern out, the Caps' best man in the dot will be MP at 46.2%. The best PKer is Brooks at 44.8%. I don't know if there is a direct correlation between the decreased PK effectiveness and FO%, but it can't be helping.
That got me looking at FO% stats, and I see Mojo is down to 38.5%. Oof. He looks like Steckel though when compared to RNH at 28.6%. They might as well let wingers take those draws.
George McPhee....The Teflon GM. 15 years of failure and counting....
6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
