My decision

A few months back, I posted a question asking whether I should stay in my public school or move on to some offers from some prep schools.

I made my emotional decision. I have chosen to attend LaSalle Academy. LaSalle was better than my other offers for one reason, and that is it's location away from my home. CM, Malden Catholic were obviously hard to turn down, but I'm proud to be a Ram starting in the 2012/2013 school year.

This was an emotional decision that only my family knows about, I haven't told my friends at school yet. (they won't know till end of the year).

I can't wait for my opportunity to play for LaSalle.

Congrats man, best of luck to you. As an alumni of your biggest football rival EP High, I can't really say much bad, because if we ever played Lasalle in hockey, they would have smoked us.

Haha, when I went to the school today, I was roughy to hate East providence High School, and Mount St. Charles. Its going to fun building up the hate for rival high schools. As, I hate Somerset High School with a HUGE passion.

Since I, and all of LaSalle's team won't be playing Case, GOOD LUCK TO CASE as well.

GOO CARDINALSS!

Congratulations!! Play clean, work and play with passion and abandon: don't do anything to embarrass your school, your family or your friends and enjoy every moment of it!

Haha, good luck? Did we even have a hockey team? I thought it got cancelled a few years back when we were connected with Diman Voc Tech. Eh, I never paid much attention lol.

In any case, congrats are in order. Haha if I still lived at home I'd go drive down to watch some games, I literally live a stone's throw away from LaSalle. Like 5-10 minutes at most.

Good luck at LaSalle. At least there are girls there now.

I played hockey for LaSalle (with NJ Devils GM Lou Lamoriello) and East Providence wasn't in the same division.

I also played football and the East Providence games back then were on Thanksgiving and really tough games.

Good luck playing for perennial second place LaSalle

At least you won't have to play against my cousin Trevor's line anymore. They just graduated from Mount.

Good move!

And congratulations on not making a decision based on friends. Its not easy for a teen, but trust me, friends come and go. No decision in life should be made based on them. You would have regretted it.

Oh, and the South Shore/RI to CM or Malden would have been miserable if not impossible. Dont get on yourself for not picking those.

I chose LaSalle over Mount and Hendrickson because I got offered more ice time at LaSalle and I liked the faculty better at LaSalle.

Thanks guys for the support. It's really awesome. I'm in awe right now.

I meant all the other sports team lol (like football, baseball)

I was leaning toward not going to a prep school tbh because I'm not a huge Catholic. I just don't care for it much, so I think it may be problem and something I have to get used to..

Football game against Lasalle from freshmen level up to when I was varsity were always really tough. And, we are still in a lower division in hockey...I think the highest our hockey team went was D2 maybe three years ago then they dropped back down. How was Lou as a player?
