Yes that was pretty sad. Talking about the offside called against the Capitals in which they would've at least had a very advantageous 2 on 1 with about 8 minutes left in the second.

It didn't look offside at full speed, so I rewound and paused it, right where the puck was all the way across the blue line plus maybe a foot or so, while Johansson's back skate was at least a foot or so completely behind the blue line. That was one of the worst offside calls I can remember, just in terms of how wrong it was, but when you take what it cost the Capitals into account, it makes me want to vomit.

I think Chimera touched the puck before McBain. Shouldnt have been called icing.

I hesitate to say this, but the Caps look like they are just getting stronger this period.

That is a shift reminiscent of the Ulf days.

caps playing some pretty attractive hockey. that third line is the kono/halpern/dahlen line of old (only without the goofy looking open ulf pivot). good stuff.

I don't know if that's the best fourth line in the league but...gotta be up there in terms of reliability.

How many cross checks are they going to let that guy get away with in front of the net on Hendricks. Dominating shift by the 4th line! Boys looking good this period.

Glad Carlson finally got his first goal of the year. With all the power play time he gets you'd think he'd have had one before today.

Eakin!

I literally just yelled out. Awesome.

Of course, if you're Ward, you're expecting that to come back to Semin the whole time. Perfect.

So cool. Great goal from Eakin, and a great pass to get some confidence for Semin. Backbreaker for the Hurricanes.
