Can ovechkin seriously stop just gliding around, straight up and one hand on the stick like he doesn't care.. That body language annoys the crap out me.

Congrats to eakin!! 4-1

If anything is clear, it's that Bruce lost the room when he benched Ovie.

Nice job to get your first, 50!
That was class by Semin. He saw the situation and who was the trailer. He got it do Eakin so he had plenty of time to choose his shot. Very nice play all around.

if you make a spearing motion and miss, it's supposed to be an automatic double minor. So even if you think he missed, there should be 4. The most famous non-call on a spearing in Caps history has to be the premeditated Briere spear, 5 years ago (ugh, that long?), and the most famous called one is probably in game 7 against Philly back in the 80s in the first period.

Lost the room? Thought people here where happy with the benching. Speaking to which, OV didn't really respond as well as I thought he would.

So what do we call Eakin? Hopefully he turns into someone we can throw in with O8 and Backs on the first line, or with that great third somewhere.
Watched Hendricks take punishment in front of the net. At least we know he is drawing a defender.
PP looking much better than last year. Didn't quite finish, but at times the puck movement looked swift and calculated. None of this bombs from the point nonsense.

We'll take another W.

Edit: Good work for padding stats.

What is clear, unfortunately, is that Ovie didn't exactly get the message. Worst Cap on the ice tonight?

EDIT: Did he hear me?

Nice points for the top line there. Backstrom from Ovechkin. Brouwer did a real nice job on the boards and with his man to start that play. Underrated on that line, I think.

That side to side really is hard for the goalie to track. Nice goal.

BB had a hilarious troll-face-like smirk after that goal.
