Oh and I ain't even mad. Just destroyed a guy 13-1 in Vs ranked game.
I usually end up either winning or losing by a goal or two, like 3-2 or 2-1. Or losing 7-0, which happened once thanks to the awesome power of glitch goals.
That was a thriller of a GP though, wow. I just wish it had been Kimi 2nd instead of Grosjean, but I think his differential problems from yesterday renewed. Quite a pale performance from Iceman. Good stuff from Hamilton and especially Perez!
Oh, right, it's the EASHL topic. So, um... Anyone playing tonight?
Sometimes my friend and I get together and play kids online 2v1, and we usually end up destroying them when both sides are NHL teams, so last time we decided to play as HIFK, and we won 4-3, scoring the last goal with eight seconds left in regulation, and all four of our goals were from MiG.
I know it's not about EASHL, but it's at least NHL 12.
So, apparently me and Fel have both played 108 games in our team. As for stats, Fel is 85+90=175 and +/- -90 while I stand at 40+46=86 and +/- -111. Damn I suck.
Interesting stats: I lead our team in blocked shots (54, closest is Fel with 22 and Pajicz with 16) as well as hits (219 vs Fel's 205).
I also moved back to RW, just works so much better. I discovered that I was not that good in D because, well, I have no instinct for it and often ended up getting burned worse than Niki Lauda. I did change my style of play considerably though, moving from TWF and Antti Miettinen to SNP and Kris Foucault. Scored a hat trick on my first game as sniper but cooled off and missed a couple of prime scoring chances. I'm quite fast and handy with the puck though, which is new because I've never been a real puck carrier and am usually better without the puck than with it.
We'll have to see how this goes. With Fel as PWF and me as SNP, all we need now is a playmaker on the middle... Who wants to be our James Sheppard?
Just played with WILDhockeyfan, so my regular season is now finished in our league. Somewhat satisfied, but still could've been much better than 4-4-0.
And suprisingly my MVP and best scorer has been Viktor "Hands of Steel" Stålberg with 6+6. And he started the season in my 4th line... now obviously in the 1st with Toews and Kane.
I can't stand Niemi. He's such a ****** goaltender in NHL 12. He let in 3 goals against Pajicz in those 2 games that should've been stopped. I'm so use to playing with my HUT team in which all my players are 90+ speed that playing as the Sharks seems so damn slow.

Cam Ward can be even worse sometimes. His lateral movements are basically "Oh, a cross-crease pass? I'll just throw myself down then".
I actually like this league idea, but I'm thinking we could get more people. We should really try 4 persons/league (8 in total) and then play cross-league playoffs.
Just throwing this in because I got wrecked in this league.
So, I got my legend card level 3 yesterday so I started playing goaltender. Not so bad I'd say.
3-1-1.
Aaaay, not bad at all.
I also made that grinder yesterday. I was having a dilemma because I'm not creative or skilled enough to be a fast playmaker, I'm not offensively savvy enough to be a sniper but I liked being skilled with the puck. The problem was that, well, I couldn't hit and I didn't really get anything done (as shown yesterday).
So, now I'm a grinder and probably sticking to it. I guess that's the position that suits me best.
My first pick-up game as a grinder went OK. Well, we lost 3-1 but I had a rookie D-man and a human goalie on my team in addition to me and they had a good human goalie and 4 players in addition. I did get a couple of chances but I was mostly supporting our D efforts.
All in all, I'm happy. I doubt I still have enough strength to hit the bigger/more balanced guys but at least it's more than a mosquito bite now.
