LOL @ Torts. Funny as hell. Without trying to be funny. I've got a love/don't like that much relationship with the guy. Things like this make me lean towards the "love".
The HBO series is going to be off the chain. Getting HBO for a few months only so I can watch this circus.
Haha..either way, win or lose he can re-use this in the post game:
If they win:
"John, what did you think of the team's play tonight?"
"No idea"
"John, Sean Avery will probably be suspended for mooning Carey Price in the first period tonight...but because it lead to a goal by Richards, will you put him back on the top line with Brad and Gaborik once he comes back from suspension?"
"No idea."
If they lose:
"John, what do you think the team did wrong tonight?"
I've got a love-hate relationship with him, although hate would be a strong word. The only thing I don't like about him is his line-changing. Everything else, I love the guy. His no BS attitude I love. He truly is one of my favorites.

Who was the reporter? Was it Brooks? If so, I don't have a problem with it.

I'd rather hear him actually answer the questions, which were all legitimate.
I wish I could find it funny. Instead, I just think he's a jackass.
We went from a way too heady, analytical coach to Torts the Clown, it's really depressing we can't get a good mix of both in here. At least have some idea of articulating what is going on with the team and how a pro Coach accesses his team in a pro environment. I feel bad for the younger fans who would benefit from a more responsible coach.
Yeah because it's not like our young top 6 player Brandon Dubinsky didn't have a career year under Tortorella or anything like that. Or you know, any of our other young players who have played very well with Torts, i.e: most of them.
It's very possible he DIDN'T know the answer to the questions. Why would he concern himself with who's on the IR on game day? Why would he know about Wolski's MRI when no info has come out about it? Why would he care about Stralman when he's not here to play yet?
It boggles my mind how some of you rag on "TAWTZ DA CLOWN" but love Sean Avery.
Because this actually had something to do with them and nothing with you. Clearly they got a kick out of it. There is simply no reason for you to be offended, angry, etc. because of this. They were the ones involved and thought it was funny.

Where did I say I was angry or offended? Don't put words in my mouth. I said I'd prefer he answer the questions.
And I do think he's a jackass, independent of this "press conference."
Yeah, he's clearly in the dark regarding all of these things. Doesn't even know the name of the defenseman they just signed. That makes sense.
Except it does, because it happened last year too. Especially when he himself admits to calling Danny G, Joe Girardi.
I don't care if he doesn't know the guy who joined the club a day ago who's been in Sweden. Then, obviously, the reporter makes a joke and Torts goes along with it.
