I'm gonna be at work.

I'm not upset I'm going to be missing the game.

Nice gameday thread, although it looks an awful lot like Winnipeg's GDT.

Just kidding, remember what they say, "imitation is the purest form of flattery".

GO ISLANDERS!!!

From the fury of the Capitals, dear God deliver us!

I'm one of the more optimistic voices on the board, but even I have a 'lambs to the slaughter' feeling about this one.

But I could be wrong....

DP starts I bet.

6-0, we get 15 shots on goal in the second but only one quality one the goalie has to move for. Cappy is confident in his team, Snow does nothing, fans forget what our goal song is if they can even remember it.

I know I just said earlier we would lose 5-1 but I just had a feeling that JT is going to have a good game. Isles win 6-4. Call me crazy because chances are I am very wrong.

Tavares 2 goals, Nielsen, Streit, Reasoner, Jurcina with the others.

Isles will end their winless streak 4-2. Washingtons second line looks real weak. Greene is out. Time to turn it around.

Facing the Capitals after a losing streak is surely not a nice situation to be put into. I want to see some goals scored by the Isles regardless of win or loss under a new line combo that Capuano was mentioning about. Just wondering what line will come out on the ice. Let's see...

Isles will come out strong with new lines for the first 10 minutes score a goal, get scared of having a lead and lose 4-1

How everyone should feel heading into this game, they haven't given us a reason to think otherwise.

Rolston will be moved down to 4th line and Martin moved up with Bailey/Comeau.
PAP will be moved to Frans line and replaced by either OK or Grabs.
End result could be a goal or two......and still a loss as the Caps fire 6 past DP or Monty.
Watched the Caps last night, they are jacked after losing a few in a row.

sick GDT.

caps could be sluggish after playing last night, albeit no one played excessive minutes. expect the isles to be ready to go on a saturday night. not sure i agree the caps 2nd line is "real weak" since theres a 40 goal scorer on it, but we'll see.

good luck and heres to a 6-5 barnburner.

I dont think my lines are right, thats just what I want to see. I do not see PAP being moved off JTs line. Grabs and nielsen should remain together.

KO(net presence) JT (can do it all) PAP (descent chemistry with JT)
MM(net presence) Niels(play maker/speed) Grabs(Speed/shooter)
Comeau Reasoner Martin
Rolston Bailey Pandolfo (Get bailey playing with 2 veterans)

This would work better IMO

Btw Capitals didnt lose last night they won.

Caps just played last night and rocked Carolina. Now they come here and face a (so far) real ****** team. We have played well against the Caps recently, usually close games until they decide oh wait, lets win. This one goes one of two ways, we get blown out or its a real close game because the Caps are coasting and they win it late in the 3rd or OT.

I'm glad things aren't won or lost on paper

The rags would have won 10 cups since 1994
The greatness of Brodeur would have won them 3 more cups after '95, '00 and '03
The C'nucks won last year right?
Oh, and check this one up in the loss column

I will actually see them lose, instead of hearing about it in lurid detail from you guys in the GDT. Oh Boy!

Lets Go Islanders!
Rock and Roll, Rock and Roll...Hey You Suck!
