Yes, I did...until he fooled even me. Sound like Howie was thinking like us all when DP got that puck.

You just explained why Haley brings nothing to this team, they are playing physical without him, what else does he bring besides terrible penalties?

Great game. PA with a huge goal to win the game. 2 points closer to the playoffs!

Hmm, just woke up and had a crazy dream that the Isles beat the Caps and the PA haters were seen cutting out their tongues and burning them in a pile.

Switching up lines really did do one other thing besides jump start a little offense. It narrowed down who the dead weight is on the team.

Can't say that this was anything other than a big win, snapping the losing streak against a great team that has dominated us.

Great win!

We go from unable to score to scoring 4 plus and an empty netter. Now we build on it.

PA with a great game, if it makes sense I think he is better on the 2nd line. His mess ups arent as noticeable maybe? On the 1st line you notice everything. Played very well though. happy for him!!

As for the first line, I think you put Okposo with JT. I have wabted to see that for a while. Still hoping it happens. Grabner was pretty invisible tonight.

DP with a solid game. I know everyone wants to blame DP for everything, but look at Vokoun tonight, that is a goalie giving away the game. Not DP!!

Great game tonight! That said, Way to reward Martin your hardest working player through all of the season so far with the least amount of ice time

Missed the game; thrilled with the result. Anyone want to break down how the new lines looked tonight?

less pressure being on the 2nd and 3rd line than on the first
Although no JT means he has to do more work and cant expect JT and Moulson to clean up his ****, um stuff.

I do like PAP Smears
wow they were outscored in the 1st: 2-0
In the 2nd & 3rd they outscored the Caps: 5-1!

I'm happy with the effort.

It is just one game though (and I'm an optimist)

I would go this way as well, I figure Okposo could fish out pucks for Tavares and Moulson

Between Comeau -1 and Okie -2, I think we leave them at the bottom for now. Give Grabs some time with JT. I think Comeau and JT should be put together to get Comeau in line. with Grabs. That would be deadly.

Have Okie with Moulson, Reasoner. That might open the ice for those 2.

good game!

Frans with his best game ytd...Bailey a bit better too.

solid play by DiPietro though he always seems to be one step away from disaster...he played well though seemed like he was really trying to not overplay the puck. Just keep doing that and keep boneheaded plays to a minumum. Can't fault him really on any of the goals against. Was funny though at the end EVERYONE knows what he was thinking on that empty net.

PAP good for him. Does not belong on first line and I'm ok with him as third liner.

What a game by Martin. He was all over the place - like every game he has played in so far this year. Ok with him on third line but the guy needs to be playing more minutes.

Noticed KO even managed to get a shot on net - not wide by three feet!

Better game by Hamonic...

I know we won tonight with DP in net but I really hope Monty is in goal the next game. I'll feel less nervous.

People can **** on him for the low production, but watch what he's doing on the ice. He played 11:50 and was effective. Not sure what more people are expecting. If he's playing smart and hard, then he'll improve (and he has been for the last little while.)

More on topic, I'm glad they switched up the lines. Not exactly the combos I would have chosen, but we finally put some speed up with Tavares to get to loose pucks. Battles along the boards and getting to loose pucks was the problem with our previous 5-on-5 arrangements.

I really hope we find a way to get Martin more ice. He brings much more to the table than we're allowing for. (Would have liked him to have had a major role at the Bridge developing that, but while he has the confidence going, let's get him some more ice.)

Nice to see us beat the Caps.

,
Mitch

the fact that it was WASHINGTON makes it awesome to me. sure i was happy to get off the schneid, but beating that team, wow.

i love frans and martin. you know what you're going to get with them two every night.
i wish kyle could get his head out of his --- more. he's got skill, but seems to be turning dumb. i hope this shakeup shakes him and comeau up, not to mention bailey.
