I'm a longtime lurker but I can hide my silence no more. This is not Arneil or Howson's fault. They are working very hard to try to win. Wiz's suspension and a ridiculous amount of injuries are to blame. No team should be expected to win given this slew of injuries that has befallen this club.

Support your team. Buy tickets and cheer loudly. Don't boo. None of this banter about firing people is helping. Like Umberger said, this kind of talk distracts the players and only makes the situation worse.

Go Jackets! Arnie will turn this around!!! I believe!!!!

I'm seriously appalled by everyone's negativity. The players feel bad enough about the poor start. No one should be trying to make them feel worse.

This organization needs the support of the fans. Howie and Arnie will turn it around, they deserve the chance. If after 20-25 games once the team is fully healthy they have not won at least 60% of the games, well then it might be time to fire somebody. But any evaluation before the team has been 100% healthy for at least 20 games is unfair.

Go Mase!!! Shut em down tonite!!
Go CBJ!!!

(hint - be positive. You'll be amazed at the results)

Gotta be an old HF user trolling us, right???? We should make them feel worse, losing isn't fun, if we're miserable, the team should be miserable too. Losing should not be fun for anyone.

Tried that for 10 years, doesn't work. I'm ready to go all "Philadelphia" on their arses and show my team some "brotherly love."

Just because you all hate the team, do you really have to ruin it for one of the few who still seems to enjoy the team?

While I don't share it, I admire his optimism.

Optimism is fine, I admire Coug's and MT's and many others optimism, but those people don't tell us how we should feel.

PS. It's Peyton, not Payton, and I blame the Madden curse, can't be anything else.

I feel for you guys. We had to go through this 5 years ago. It was not a fun season for anyone. Hopefully you guys can turn it around as fast as we did.

Oh, and good luck tonight. Just not too much.

This post would have been more effective if we didn't have multiple people repeat the favor and tell him how he should feel.

Time for occupy HFCBJ? We are the 1% that aren't Leesmith/Fred Glover! We don't believe in the divinity of LTL! We think that Umberger sucks! And we demand to be heard!

And Browns fans voted Hillis guy onto the cover?

lolololololololol. Explains a lot about the intelligence of Browns fans.

I will be rubbing it in all your faces once we win tonite and then go on a tear winning 8 of the next 10.
Back to 0.500 by Wizmas, and then on to the top 8 from there...

I WILL CARRY THE FLAG!!!!!!

About Umberger's comments: I guess it could be 0-13-0... our current position would be last place regardless....

This organization HAD the support of fans. I've never seen a fanbase rally behind an organization's management so much when I did when the draft was in Columbus in 07, Howson had just been hired, he was actually walking through the crowd outside the Arena during the build up to the first overall, shaking hands and kissing babies (metaphorically on the last one) it was good, it felt like we were coming out of a dark age.

The rug has been pulled out too many times since then for me to forgive this management group.

This is what it feels like to be a loyal CBJ fan.

And like Charlie Brown, we keep coming back for more. Questioning my own sanity now.

Jake gets a hattrick and the Jackets lose 7-1. Prospal gets a goal.

For TW...

I cannot, off the top of my head, think of one good looking man wearing a Blue Jacket, (old enough to buy real estate) that wants to amuse me....apparently, with his beastly WINNING attitude... This is awful and must immediately STOP.

Vermette isn't ugly but I don't see any happy images of him after SCORING.

Nash is not ugly...but the Nash Stash is NOT working for me. I know, I know, it's No-Shave November...but...really??? No.

Boller is sexy as hell but also sitting in the press box so we won't count him....

Wiz isn't ugly...but sick. Ahhh chooo!! Can't count him either...

We're gonna need new players... LOL

(there, I did my part. now the TEAM should do theirs to increase the party atmosphere!)

Anyone: Is this the weekend that Danny Gare is visiting??? I love him. I miss him. I want him to come back home. And bring Jim Day with him. Then and ONLY THEN will this curse be lifted and our suffering STOP.

The Jackets haven't taken the ice yet and already this thread sucks.

I'm seriously amused by your posting(s). Now, if you would like to talk about the upcoming game and not lecture us, I'll all for it.

I have no expectations for this game. Everyone in the NHL wins from time to time even if it's by accident. If Wiz is out that's even more difficulty for the team, but it sounds like he'll give it a go.

Atkinson back in the lineup is a positive in my book. Possible Giroux benching also seems like a positive.

The Flyers team is quite beatable and we've played the East well in the past. Let's see what happens.
