Every interaction with Bryz must be so awkward that most guys just try to avoid him altogether. harry z gave him some courtesy laughs during his dog story but he must be thinking WTF is wrong with this guy.
Yeah the first one was better. Bryz was hilarious because of how lavy set it up and we didn't expect it. Now it may seem too forced. Time to cover some more players.
As soon as someone has a youtube link, I'd really appreciate if they would post it... I couldn't watch unfortunately because my hotel has horrible internet and no HBO.
THe best part is the husky part where Harry Z laughs, then gets all serious and says "so you are comparing women to huskies?"
No, the best part is Bob just sitting there... seemingly (emphasis on seemingly) oblivious to the ridiculous conversation taking place in front of him. I really hope HBO interviews Bob for his start against the Stars tonight. He was in the zone.
Yeah, Bryz is a hilarious caricature of a human being... but while I laugh AT him, I can't also help but realize he doesn't have the personality that I want in my goalie. He's very carefree and "oh well" and doesn't seem intensely focused or serious (while Bob's the exact opposite). I also don't like to hear stuff such as sometimes when he's out on the ice he'd rather be anywhere else (even if he's kidding, which I don't think he is, and it's just because he doesn't like getting hit repeatedly in the same spot where his chest protector is broken). Sorry, rubs me the wrong way. There's a difference between being quirky and different and just being a total goober.

Harry Z turns and laughs and Bob doesn't laugh with him.
Harry Z and Bryz not exactly a pair I anticipated seeing highlighted
Bryzgalov sounds like a moron/clown during his interview in English or Russian and I am not just talking about HBO 24/7. He needs to keep his mouth shut and concentrate on his game. Less is more.

so basically you want him to change who he is......ya, that's a good idea
"Here Bryz, this is a list of how you should act. Memorize it, because it's you're new personality"
lmao...I see we have a couple of English majors on our board
Stop over analyzing everything
Are you new here? Just look at this post.....

Over analyzing is pretty much what HF boards is all about

No, I do not think thats what I meant..
Hey Bryzgalov you are 31 year old man and top paid goalie in the best league in the world act like one but I see how you may have a point. People like a dumb ass. Universe, Tigers, comparing women to his Huskies, do not like shut outs, I am in the woods.
Everyone complains the NHL has no personality with its players, we get some with our goalie, and of course he shouldn't be acting this way. Bryz is becoming one of the personalities of the NHL with this show because of his quirkiness. Enjoy it everyone, the NHL needs more people like Bryz!!!
Honestly, I don't think I was over-analyzing anything. I stand by my comments. Soon you'll figure it out too.
I am inclined to agree with you guys about being serious and focused but if anybody saw the Broad Street Bullies documentary, they talked about how Bernie was very quirky as well. He always wanted to smell new leather shoes, jackets, etc, and it made the players think he was strange.
The point is, if Bryz were playing better (save % and GAA) then no one would be saying anything. The best goalie to ever play for us was also a little weird.
