ahahah loved how flyers talked about Rupp doing Jags salute..
G: "Did Rupp do Jags salute?"
some ranger " i thought it was pretty cool"
G: " How is that cool, its his 2nd goal in his ****ing career"
I love G, but he was a little too sensitive there. First, I thought Rupp's salute was pretty funny and would have ****ing loved it if Rupp was a Flyer and Jagr was a Ranger. All of you would have, too.
Second, it wasn't Rupp's second goal of his career (it was his 51st)... though it was his second of the season. He's not some irrelevant goon who can't play (see: Shelley, Jody), but in fact the perfect fourth liner who understands his role on the team and on the ice. Rupp also scored the winning goal in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 2003, as a rookie. I'd say he's managed quite a nice little career for himself already.

Reason: It was Rupp's second goal of the season, not first

He is right nonetheless ... Rupp did exactly what he needed to do, and I didn't thought that a little celebration like that could bring half of our team off their game.
esp. Rupp... GRRRRR !!!!!!!!! how such a ******* gets 2 goals ina game esp. one that hi-profile must have cost him every drop of good karma for the rest of his days...
when we came out in the third the flyers were way to relaxed on the ice, joking about how jvr would shoot the goalie if he scored. they weren't dialed in and focused. i really think that relaxed attitude is why the rangers(who were all business when that period started) were able to dominate the play in the third. i would have liked to see our guys focused on winning the game not joking about goal celebrations. i'm not trying to nit pick but maybe that childish lack of focus is the reason we have trouble closing out good teams when we have a lead.
Hey when Del Zotto told Hartnell to "go bash your teammates again," anybody know what he was talking about? Could he have been the one that broke the news about dry island?

I assumed it was a reference to a collision with another player. No?
I really liked when Jagr said he didn't want to do the easy thing and go to Pittsburgh/get his jersey retired and that he wanted to come to Philly to play hockey.
