just my opinion. If you did not buy it as a 3 piece suit with the matching vest, you should not try and make it a 3 piece by adding a random vest. It never really looks right.

I think Monday when I pick up my suit I'll just ask for a vest that matches... Yeah I'll pay a **** ton more than I wanted to but I'll be happy with it.

If you can't buy the vest that matches the suit I'd go with no vest.
Not a big vest fan, anyways.

Yeah, you need to be tall to pull one off and it needs to match.

Yup, we need pics to evaluate properly. But pretty much what everyone else said - shirt, suit, tie are the three color regions. Contrast those, but never contrast within a region.

Oh, and am I weird or does the pocket square fall primarily in the evening attire category as opposed to the business side?

All I know is anyone in Denver wearing a three-piece suit with a pocket square is going to look like a visitor.

Law what?

Not saying it's bad, but be careful. You'll still look like a visitor (a Manhattan lawyer, maybe! :-)

Pocket squares scream wedding or pretty boy to me.
And pretty boys suck.

Colorado it up and grow a wicked beard and untuck your shirt a bit. Ditch the vest and pocket square and put a beer in your pocket. BAM. badass
