Volchenkov was a tank last night regarding blocking shots

Also, Salvador has been a +4 the past two games

I'd hope DB continues to keep them together

I said it on the last page, but I think the defensive pairs should be switched up from what they were when Greene gets back.

Greene-Volchenkov
Tallinder-Fayne
Salvador-Larsson

I'm curious as to what happens when Kovy gets back. Does he go back on a line with Parise and Henrique? It gets even more interesting when Zajac gets back.

I'm fine with those lines but worried about Greene/Volchenkov because both have trouble in our own end on the boards with the puck at times, but I'm willing to give it a shot

i'd like to see these lines with a healthy line:

parise - zajac - zubrus
kovalchuk - henrique - elias
tedenby - josefson - clarkson
zharkov - pelley - sykora/mills/boulton

greene - volch
tallinder - fayne
salvador - larsson

brodeur
hedberg

obviously can switch elias and henrique, putting patty at center and henrique at wing...

I would keep Sykora-Elias-Zubrus together as long as possible. They have really good chemistry and deserve to stay together.

It's ideally the same line as last seasons with Rolston except obviously with Sykora this season

We're getting a big discount from Rolston to Sykora and both are similar at both this point in their careers

The Elias goal was a great example of how he and Zubrus have good chemistry together

Chico has said it a lot and I believe it to, Sykora needs to play with Elias.

After the OT goal a female fan appears to have a heart attack. Can someone with special .gif powers please work their magic?

well, the problem with those two is that Greene doesn't play the body, so opponents tend to check him off the puck. Volchenkov is horrible with the stick so opponents stick handles around him. Logically they should complement each other but for some reason it just doesn't work.

Wouldn't be surprised. It's the most unlikely bromance of all time.

Though, if Jacques was in the billding, I'm sure that TG would have known about it.

To Twitter!

Good to hear. Hopefully Kovy got some advise on how to improve his game.

Lou should hire Jacques as a "Special Assignment" coach whose sole purpose is to go over game tape with Ilya.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he is at the moment.

Jacques is the greatest coach of all time. He had to deal with a lot of crappy teams.

Look where Minnesota is without him

You mean the Minnesota Wild who are two points out of first place in the Western Conference?

No, the wild team that finished in 12th and 13th places without him. Not the team that your basing off in 11 games
