John Tavares, Phil Kessel and maybe Claude Giroux.

Taylor Hall, Bobby Ryan and Nail Yakupov will all score 50, too at some point.

Really. Nail? Before he's even played a professional game.

No way Gaborik stays healthy the entire season but if he does he has a better chance than anyone.

Malkin had 47 three years ago and it's starting to look like he is past the rough spot with his knee.

Homer vote: Jeff Skinner

Non-homer vote: Eric Staal

Seriously, Vanek, Eriksson and Tlusty.

Kessel could but I think Tavaras has the best shot of joining the club in the next few years.

I see where the Gaborik health concerns come in. But he has been relatively healthy as a Ranger.

And fwiw, the injuries he's sustained haven't been groin related, which was his big issue in Minnesota.

He wasn't mentioned before that post. Hence the reason for the overlooked comment.

Tavaras, Skinner, Hall, Vanek, Daniel and Kessel have the best chance for the near future.. and maybe if Gaborik stays healthy

Really? A kid who never has played a professional game and hasnt been drafted yet?

He's skilled, but its WAY to early to have his name in this conversation.

Parise if he joins a more talented team (ex. Philly, Vancouver, etc).

I gotta go with Daniel Sedin and Anze Kopitar. Both killing it for me in my keeper league.

Vanek if he weren't such a streaky scorer.

Despite Kessel's exploits, Joe Pavelski has the highest # of goals/game of any forward this season.

If we are strictly talking this year, I think

Kessel and Vanek have the best shot by far.....but I'm not sure either hit 50. It's all about consistency...it's going to be a very long season.
