* What if you could be a GM of an NHL-team and then draft human players through "Be a Pro". Wouldn't be amazing if you were traded "IRL" by human GM:s. It Might be impossible to set up for a million different reasons, but it would be amazing nevertheless.
* Also. It should be possible to play on someones "Be a GM" save through the internet, it wouldn't be that much trouble to make happen.
* Would love if you could set up your own exhibition games on "Be a GM". You could face your AHL affiliate, a european team or what ever - good way to check future draft picks and prospects out.
Put the real goal horns in the game like I've been asking for the last 5 years. I'm tired of listening to god awful default goal horns year after year.
I'd like it so that you can earn EA pucks in any game mode after completing a game instead of just HUT. Maybe make it where you don't earn as much as HUT, but still get a decent amount.
-Realistic names for computer-generated draftees (no Jeremy O'Neil from Poland or Alex Rodriguez from North Korea), and an expanded name database. Way too many players named after active players.
-Expanded stats records? No clue why, in a player's page outside the game mode, you can see his entire stat line but in BAGM you can only see his last four years. Having the team name for which the player was a part of for each year show up would help, too.
-Records like a list of drafted, retired and HHOF-induced players each season? That would be neeeaaat.
-Include blocked shots? It's a pretty important statistic, though I'm not sure if the engine that the game has would allow for plausible numbers. But other stats like PPP and SHP would be nice, too. Inclusion of some advanced stats (ala NBA 2k11) would be a fine addition.
-Have optimal pre-saved line combinations for when you have 1+ players out with an injury so you don't have to manually re-tinker the team every time someone is sidelined (which already happens way too often).
-Have the ability to designate a goalie "starter" and the other "backup", and have a "Play Starter/Backup" option in the main menu to speed up the goalie swap. Or even have the ability to designate which games your backup will play ahead of time.
-Have the ability to allocate a roster spot to multiple players and allocate % of minutes to them. Not sure how this would get done, but for instance - in the 2nd line RW, you could have a player play 80% of the time there and another play 20%.

I think it's because it would take a lot of space to keep, on a Be a GM file, all the stats. However, I'd like the teams to be noted like you said.
Build a franchise mode. I remember in the old NHL they had it that when you create a team you also design the look of the arena(or am i crazy?). There should be a mode that brings up attendence, fan interest, revenue, player perception, etc... I know it's a bit much, but say you make a new team, you sub the team for another, sort of like relocation. Now, just like be a pro, there's performance tracker, expectations and so on. There's a hall of fame, showing first goal by the club, club leaders in goals, assists and points. Just stuff to give it a personal feel. The mode has to be significantly more difficult than be a GM IMO.
Be a GM. Honestly, just real expectations for seasons. 90+ overall team, "get 42 wins"...uhhh, yah of course. Besides, the wins are retarded, most people who play will get that easily. "Win two major trophies (selke, art ross, etc...) and make the 2nd round of the playoffs" is better to me than what we currently have.
Players. Honestly, the full tracker should show. I hate that it only shows X number of years back. If anything, I get that REAL stats aren't worth much considering it's a game, but they should keep the entire history of his game stats at the minimum. Also, it should include the team he played for, not just the year.
1080p. Not really a priority, but why not I guess.
New commentators. Either new commentators or multiple commentators. Ideally, having different commentators based on a fake broadcast schedule would be cool. So as an example you'd have 2 guys doing the home games and 2 guys doing the away games. I understand that's much, so just switching these guys would be awesome as it is.
Assistant GM/Coach reports. Depth charts you can see, and edit. Who you want as first call ups. Suggested needs, and like in EHM, opinions on trades as they are happening and being proposed.
Player interaction. Demanding trades, ice time, etc... When signing UFAs, you let them know if you see they as a franchise, core, depth or prospect player. Your choice will affect their interest in your team and if you select key but they play 4th line minutes, they will question their role on the team and perhaps ask for a trade, or be unmotivated/cold streak.
EASHL Playoffs. Nice and dandy you win 4 in a row and you're a champ but the champs should face eachother so a select few make get the extra title, perhaps a world champ title or whatever. Better competition and bigger reward, more unique.

I think something similar was in NHL06. Don't know why they removed custom arenas for team builder...

2 - Season expectations that make sense in BaP. I put up 100 points as a rookie in the Dub when they wanted 70, so my goal for my second year is....42 points?
3 - Demand trades, have contract money mean something, practices mean something. See NBA 2k12.
4 - Agreed on expanded name database. I'm playing for Red Deer, and in my second season the first goaltender we play against has the last name Nugent-Hopkins. Really? Gets confusing when RNH has the puck near the goalie.
5 - Too much of the offense still seems to funnel through me in BaP.
6 - Speaking of RNH, he got hurt 8 games into my rookie season. Out for 2 weeks. Fine. He doesn't get put back into the lineup until the playoffs start? WTF. That's a piss-poor oversight and bothers me more than anything else in my list.

I'll think of more later.
All great, especially the bolded.
And ahow about an online feature where you start a league and GM a team against other humans, which means trading among eachother. The only bad part might be that you could only physically play the games if you were on at the same time.
If you were, it would be sweet if several people could join in and play on the same team.
request a trade, i have 4 different be a pros and i got drafted by the rags in each of em
more accurate ratings, the players that dominate in juniors should be mid to high 70's, i increase my assistant coach all the way in be a gm and it takes like 3 or 4 seasons for nino or strome to even reach the 80's
Have the ability to play with 2-3 GMs offline or online.
Stop duplication of created players. My friends and I build our own teams and our own players and it sucks when your whole team is able to sign contracts with other teams. Effin retarded.
More commentators like FIFA has. Do 2-3 English, 1 Russia, 1 Finnish, 1 German, and 1 Swedish.
Better player models like FIFA has.
Better creation, including arenas, faces, and more logos.
Basically every mode needs more updating, but these are what I would want.
In the Hockey league online. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to upgrade your computer players on your team? Like with the team wins, with points accumulated. There should be some way that you could upgrade those players. Because those players are mostly awful when we play only 3 players online on the team. The computer players that play mostly at defense and goalie are pretty bad. Still we are always winning but it's kind of annoying when the computer player's IQ is not very elevated.
I'm just so tired with EA after this year's piss poor game. Tried to compile a list of cool features - many of which have already been suggested here - but realized that it will never happen. And to make matters worse, it will probably be only a few more years before moving on to the next generation of consoles and everything will be taken away again, only to be reintroduced as "new features" a few years later.
These clowns at EA are so damn complacent. Just polishing the same turd year in, year out.

You mean you don't like Bobby Kovalchuk from Minnesota?

I like this one. I also want there to be a way that you can set up how much percent of the game you want each line to play. If you want to roll four lines, then you can put them all at 25%. If you want to be a two line team then you could do that. It's too distracting to try and manage the TOI of the lines while trying to win the game. There's been many times where my 4th line didn't even play at all.
