Dan Bylsma, Mike Babcock, and Guy Boucher say hi.

A lot of the problems with this team have been there the past few seasons. They are there when the team wins. And they are there when the team loses. Yes the personal changes have made the team more balanced and harder to play against. But at the end of the day they have the same down falls.

Fully aware that your Caps are better than this.
No, they're not better than this. That is the MO of this team... we consistently get outworked by teams whose coaches get their players to play with effort. We play lazy, our star player is turned into a lazy, average hockey player who has turned into such a big liability defensively. This is caps hockey.

Those guys all suck now. Or it was luck. Or something.

Seriously though, who saw Dallas being this good? I thought they might be competitive but wow.

Apparently Dallas didn't think so. Also, I didn't think so seeing him in Hershey.

I miss that strech of games from the 13th to the 27th of October where we didn't allow more then 2 goals in a single game.

Time to shorten up the D-pairings. Put Alzner/Carlson together and let them take 25+ mimutes and match up the pairings to their appropriate TOI. The balanced minutes work well with the full complement of dmen but not so well without.

I enjoy how people completely ignore the fact that he was never a Washington player even if he was in Hershey. Also, have you ever heard of the salary cap?

Sorry dude, I've tried to remain positive about this team but I'm finding it very hard to be. And it has nothing to do with this particular game. It has to do with the way the team is playing, which is very reminiscent of the way this team has played in the past few years. I understand its a long season, but these defensive breakdowns we have been seeing consistently the past few games are the types of things I wanted to stop seeing from this team. Its hard to watch through this crap.

On the plus side, Eakin has had another decent game. He's had a better game than Johansson.

Pretty crappy effort overall.

Hey Mr. Warden, have any more smart Alec comments? Or has the reality that we have little chance against upper echelon teams sunk in. You may look at the huge shot differential against the Flyers and Pens as calculated but you are mistaken. They were harbingers of what we were going to see against other good teams. We were outshot and out chanced by the anemic Islanders for goodness sake.

Boudreau gets the least out of his talent, and as I've always said this team wins games despite him. They regularly look disorganized and confused. He is regularly out coached in the playoffs, where such incompetence is amplified.

Poo poo performance. I think these type of letdowns should fall partially on Ovis shoulders...i love the guy but i dont think he's much of a captain.
